Google is really focusing on the mobile market nowadays and the search engine giant has just announced that it has improved its image search for the iPhone and Android devices. The redesign of Google Image Search for mobile is currently available for iPhone 3.0+ and Android 2.1 devices and focuses on making it easy for users to see as many image thumbnails as possible. The thumbnails have been put into squares to maximize the number of images shown at one go as well as being optimized for speed so that the images seem quickly when you browse. Looks like the whispers about the Nokia X5 were true, as Nokia has unveiled two new TD-SCDMA phones for China Mobile, the Nokia C5 and X5. Both devices will support 3G on China Mobile and will offer the first jointly-run mobile application store, the Mobile Market-Ovi Store.

The X5 is a candybar phone that is powered by Symbian. Features aren’t too poor as it offers a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording capabilities. A 2.4-inch 240 x 320 resolution display is there to let you enjoy your pictures and video. It’ll be launched in China that spring in black, red or white.

If you’re looking for an entry-level device, the C5 could be up your street. That being said, despite it being an entry level device, it offers the same 2.4-inch display and camera as the X5. It’ll plus be launched in spring in silver or black.

Dell has confirmed that its Dell Mini 3i Android-powered smartphone will be made available in China via China Mobile. The phone will debut with 2 color options, namely the “red passion” and “oiled bronze” color schemes. Aside from quad-band GSM/EDGE, 640 x 360 display, GPS, 3-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth, the phone will additionally support China Mobile’s “Mobile Market” app, though Dell says that the phone’s features may vary from operator to operator.
