Sure, we know that Windows Mobile, Android, and the iPhone are all able to churn out some mold of musical instrument sound via some program or another, but what happens when you combine them all together and turn them into an instrument? That’s precisely what someone has done, and the conclusion is rather cool. Check out a video after the jump and see for yourself. Now all they need to do is start a music school for that new “instrument”.

Motorola has just announced their new range of on-demand servers that were specially designed to deliver multimedia composition and services across TVs, PCs and mobile devices. All three screens are fundamental to service providers’ success when it comes to developing new revenue-generating applications and services particularly in the current era of Internet-enabled TVs. With the Motorola M3 Media Server family’s introduction, it aims to deliver solutions which connect folks to personalized composition simply by creating compelling consumer experiences. Well, with that in place, hopefully there won’t be a deluge of ads to assault our senses further – give us relevant composition, please!
While there aren’t any official details at the moment it seems that Microsoft is busy working on a project that could bring the core of its desktop OS to smartphones. whether that does happen, we’ll see the Windows NT core possibly replace the Windows CE core used in Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7 and the Zune HD. Murmurs of a graphics layer known as Experiment 19 will apparently be the magic to scale the experience down to a size that’s suitable for handheld devices. The team involved in that project is apparently called the Menlo team. It’ll be interesting to see how that affects Windows Mobile devices in the future, as Windows programs currently support different processor architectures and have different frameworks for programs. Looks like it’s something worth keeping an eye on.

Nokia and Dolby have announced that they’re collaborating to bring Dolby’s surround sound technologies into choose phone worldwide. that announcement comes hot on the heels of the unveiling of Nokia’s N8 smartphone that already incorporates Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound technology. With that in place, users will be able to enjoy Dolby Digital Plus surround sound by hooking the N8 up a home theater system via an HDMI connection. Are you looking forward to more mobile phones that incorporate Dolby’s audio magic in it, or are you nonchalant about audio quality on mobile devices?

Word has it that AMD has released samples of a second Fusion-based processor known as “Ontario”, where it will target low ability devices such as netbooks, tablets and other simpler gizmos. The Ontario is basically a System on a Chip (SoC) design that is based on a 40nm process, sporting a couple of x86 cores (this doesn’t mean it is dual-core), a DirectX 11 compatible graphics core and DDR3 memory controller. Do you think the competition is heating up in terms of processor warfare for mobile devices as AMD finally starts to play catch up with Intel?

<img border="0" alt="Rumor: Apple Planning To Acquire ARM For $8bn?" src="http://gadgethobby.com/wp-content/plugins/blog/images/apple-purchase-arm.jpg" />

This is still very much a rumor at that point in date, so we’d propose you take it with a pinch of salt. Word is going around the ARM Holdings, the company behind the popular ARM processors, could be acquired by Apple for around $8 billion dollars. Despite it still being a rumor, shares of ARM Holdings have gone up a juicy 8 percent today. While $8 billion is certainly a huge figure, let’s not forget that Apple has by $40 billion in cash reserves, so it’s not like the fruity company is short of cash.

Such an acquisition would give Apple some major chip technology, giving Apple the chance of further improving its A4 chip that’s used in the iPad. Aside from that, whether Apple were to acquire ARM, it could potentially mean that Apple could deny competitors access to ARM’s technology, which would greatly affect the mobile devices market.

As we mentioned, that is still very much a rumor, so we’ll have to sit back and see whether it turns out to be real or just some idle chatter that’s going around. What do you think, though?

If you’re asthmatic, you’re probably always paying attention to your health in order to manufacture certain that everything is fine. But whether you’re always having to visit the doctor to produce certain everything is fine, it could end up being expensive and not to mention moment consuming. That’s why a designer has come up with Blue Flow, which is a system that combines a peak flow monitor with your mobile phone software, allowing knowledge to be wirelessly transferred to your phone for your doctor to monitor by the enlarged run. It seems that medical devices are loving mobile devices more and more.
