Looks like the whispers about the Nokia X5 were true, as Nokia has unveiled two new TD-SCDMA phones for China Mobile, the Nokia C5 and X5. Both devices will support 3G on China Mobile and will offer the first jointly-run mobile application store, the Mobile Market-Ovi Store.

The X5 is a candybar phone that is powered by Symbian. Features aren’t too poor as it offers a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording capabilities. A 2.4-inch 240 x 320 resolution display is there to let you enjoy your pictures and video. It’ll be launched in China that spring in black, red or white.

If you’re looking for an entry-level device, the C5 could be up your street. That being said, despite it being an entry level device, it offers the same 2.4-inch display and camera as the X5. It’ll plus be launched in spring in silver or black.

Ford has just announced SYNC AppLink, which is a downloadable software upgrade for Ford SYNC systems, which seem to be quite popular. Adobe has released an updated version of its Photoshop.com Mobile application for Google’s Android platform, which is good news, and one of the more interesting features of that version is that it allows third-party applications to access the Photoshop.com Mobile for Android 1.1 editor, allowing them to use it in their applications. that is certainly good news for Android users, but you can’t help but notice that Adobe plus took the opportunity to take a dig at Apple’s iPhone platform. A statement from Doug Mack, general manager of Adobe’s Digital Imaging and Rich Media Solutions group stated:

Mobile application stores are all the rage these days, and now Samsung has announced the expansion of its application store, Samsung Apps. By late January, folks who are living in Singapore, Germany, Brazil and China and own an Omnia II or OmniaLITE will have access to Samsung Apps. Apps such as Guitar Hero, Spiderman, and Need for Speed will be available during launch, amongst others, and there will be more to come.
