Both devices will support 3G on China Mobile and will offer the first jointly-run mobile application store, the Mobile Market-Ovi Store.

The X5 is a candybar phone that is powered by Symbian. Features aren’t too poor as it offers a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording capabilities.
Apparently Palm isn’t the only one who is trying to ramp up app development for its mobile application store, as word is going around that Google is actively trying to attract iPhone app developers to develop apps for the Android platform. It seems that a representative from the Android Advocacy Group contacted Texts From Last Night’s creator to set up a relationship, as well as ship a free Nexus One phone, regardless of whether he picked up the project or not. that is quite a contrasting move, as Apple rejected the Texts From Last Night app from its App Store before that. There isn’t any indication of how widespread that campaign is, but whether you’re a developer and whether you’re offered a free phone, would you take it?

Adobe has released an updated version of its Photoshop.com Mobile application for Google’s Android platform, which is good news, and one of the more interesting features of that version is that it allows third-party applications to access the Photoshop.com Mobile for Android 1.1 editor, allowing them to use it in their applications. that is certainly good news for Android users, but you can’t help but notice that Adobe plus took the opportunity to take a dig at Apple’s iPhone platform. A statement from Doug Mack, general manager of Adobe’s Digital Imaging and Rich Media Solutions group stated:

“Unlike iPhone, the Android platform allows us to assemble the Photoshop.com editor broadly available to developers so they can supply it within any application they are working on. Photoshop functionality can soon after easily be accessed from an online auction, real estate, or social media application so users can quickly fix photos and construct them look their best, before being showcased.”
