Is Microsoft Preparing Some New Xbox Consoles With A New profile Factor?
March 7, 2010

In a recent talk at the University of Washington, it seems that Steve Ballmer might have indirectly hinted at some new Xbox design factors in the future. According to the transcript of the Q&A session, he mentioned:
“For that big screen device ... there's no diversity. You get precisely the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more anatomy factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it's going to [be] critical.”
With that in mind, you can start imagining different style factors, though there isn’t any concrete knowledge on how a new Xbox might look like. Of course, most users would want the device to be slimmed down, possibly like the PS3 slim, though some are hoping that there might be Project Natal hardware built into the console itself, and whether that were the case, we’re certain most of you wouldn’t mind the Xbox getting a tad bigger to accommodate that.

One of the main reasons would be Microsoft evolving their Xbox Live service which could no longer manufacture allowances for games on Microsoft's first console.

Microsoft Not Worried About Xbox Lawsuit
November 23, 2009

If there were about 1 million angry gamers who might want to sue you, most folks would be running and screaming for their mommy, but not Microsoft. Despite the possibility of facing a class-action lawsuit, a Redmond spokesperson has stressed that Microsoft is well within its legal rights to ban users from the Xbox Live as modifying an Xbox 360 is apparently a violation of the Xbox Live Terms of Use. Regardless of whether it’s legally right or wrong, Microsoft isn’t scoring any brownie points with gamers at the moment. Check out the details of the lawsuit here.
