MSI has revealed that it has a new CX705MX notebook that will come with a 512MB Radeon HD 545V graphics chipset, offering more than adequate juice for folks who are on a tight budget to handle HD videos on its 17.3″ 1,600 x 900 resolution display. To invent certain that great visuals go along with a decent level of audio, there are a couple of 2W speakers accompanied by a subwoofer to keep things going. No concept on the kind of Intel Core 2 Duo processor used underneath the chassis, but we do know that the CX705MX will run on Windows 7 Home Premium with a 250GB or optional 320GB or 500GB hard drive. Other specifications include a 4-in-1 memory card reader, HDMI output, VGA output, three USB ports and an Ethernet port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. No concept on pricing or availability though.

MSI has announced its latest X-Slim X420 notebook that sports an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, where it boasts a sleek tapered design and rounded edges that is plus found on the X600. The chassis itself is just 0.9″ slim, where you get a 4-cell battery, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, up to a 500GB hard drive, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430 graphics card, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi N connectivity, Bluetooth support and a memory card reader. Strangely sufficient, MSI has left out an ExpressCard slot and an optical drive. It will run on Windows 7 Home Premium though. No view on pricing as at press moment.

Acer expands its line of notebooks with the TimelineX – a step further from the Timeline series which was already thin and light. The 11.6″ model does seem to be pretty interesting, as it will be the next logical upgrade to the existing line of Aspire 1810 notebooks. Underneath the hood, you will find an Intel Core i5 U50 1.07GHz processor in lieu of the Intel CULV chips, accompanied by an 11.6″ display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, a touchpad, HDMI and VGA outputs, a trio of USB ports, Ethernet connectivity and a memory card reader. It measures somewhere among 22mm and 28.9mm in terms of thickness, and you can be certain that that puppy is super light. No view on pricing or availability though.

Asus’ latest Eee PC to join their stable would be the Eee PC 1001PX which has just been officially released, although you probably won’t be able to tell the difference as to what kind of model that is at first glance since it looks like any other 10″ Eee PC out there. What makes it different is its striking matte display screen when you open it up, allowing you to use the Eee PC 1001PX outdoors or under bright light conditions without batting an eyelid. Apart from that, most of the other specifications are pretty generic including a 10.1″ LED backlit wide antiglare display powered by an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a built-in memory card reader, a webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity and Windows 7 Starter as the operating system of choice.

Interestingly ample, the Ekoore ET10TA tablet adheres to the earlier days of netbooks, where one can choose among Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux as the operating system of choice. Regardless of your choice, you will still need to fork out €479 for it in Italy.
