Neofonie WePad might be confusing

The Neofonie WePad is a cheeky attempt at a wordplay on the iPad, and it is surprising to see it come from the Germans whom we thought were much more serious in their undertakings. Still, the WePad boasts German efficiency (and hopefully, build) with an 11.6" display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom 1.66GHz N450 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, a batter that lasts for up to 6 hours, an integrated webcam, a couple of USB ports and a memory card reader. Oh yeah, we left out the UMTS modem which allows you to hook up to the WePad App Store. Apart from that, that Android-powered device will additionally feature access to the Android Market - now how about that!

Shuttle B10 netbook

March 4, 2010

Shuttle B10 netbook

Shuttle used to be famous for their line of small computer chassis which are a joy to have in homes that are short on space. Well, guess they could not resist the lure of netbooks, hence the Shuttle B10 netbook which is powered by your everyday Intel Atom N450 processor. While that is not terribly interesting, what piques our antennas would be its GXT jack which allows one to connect to an external video card - basically making that a poor man’s version of NVIDIA ION. Other specifications include a 3-cell battery, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, a memory card reader, a webcam, an Ethernet jack and a SIM card slot which points toward an optional 3G option. No concept on pricing, but it is tipped to hit the markets sometime in Q3 that year.
