Collapsible lamp
December 3, 2009

There are lamps, and thereupon there are lamps. that beautiful lampshade falls under the latter, as it is capable of collapsing down to a virtually flat structure factor due to the way it was made using lasers.
The only way to create something with that sort of complexity is rapid prototyping—and laser sintering, to be exact. The process works by sweeping a laser across a pan of powdered nylon; when the lasers hit the nylon, it fuses ("sinters"). The process repeats in layers, until the final product emerges. Thus, you can create interlocking shapes all at once—for example, a chain whose urls are completely closed.
We wonder what else around the home would look better after undergoing some laser treatment...

Boot Camp Drivers Update 2.2 for Windows
November 19, 2009
If you have an Intel-based Mac and there’s a PC application you need to use, you can run it using Boot Camp. You'll need to supply a copy of Microsoft Windows, but Boot Camp is included in Mac OS X Leopard. Setup is simple and straightforward — just as you’d expect with a Mac.
that update addresses issues with the Apple trackpad and turns off the red digital audio port LED on laptop computers when it is not being used. It additionally includes support for the Apple Magic mouse and wireless keyboard. It is intended only for use with Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista running on a Mac computer using Boot Camp.
Requirements
Boot Camp 2.1 must be installed prior to running that update
For Windows Vista, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 must be installed before running that update.
