Tokyoflash Watch Description: FREE SHIPPING with BUY-IT-NOW!!! A vintage Pulsar Date II LED Watch Model 3230. Watch has a stainless steel band with the “P” logo on the clasp. The movement is a 3013, and the display is a dot matrix. The setting magnet is present in its holder within the band. Serial is 141655 A, and the band is marked 5-74, but I don’t know if this signifies the date of manufacture or not. There is no engraving on the watch. Watch is used, and shows normal signs of wear, including some scratches on the case and case back. The crystal is very good with only some very fine scratches. I purchased this watch at an auction yesterday, where it had been stored in a plastic sandwich bag with a number of other watches. I brought it home, did some quick research and learned a little bit about LED watches. The watch had a set of 355 batteries in it, which I replaced with two new 357s, using a rubber o-rings for spacers. After replacing the batteries, the display lit up, and I figured out how to set the time and date using the magnet. The watch appears to be keeping good time, although it has only run for a few hours at this point, and all of the dots on the display light up. The watch appears to me to be in original condition, but I am not an expert, so please take a good look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. Shipping for this item will be $5.99 via USPS Priority Mail within the USA. However, if you purchase the watch using “Buy-it-Now”, I will ship it for FREE within the USA. Payment must be made by PayPal. Item will ship as soon as payment is received.

Nokia’s Ovi Movies service is tipped to roll out sometime that September in conjunction with the Nokia N8 which has just just received FCC approval. Of course, those living Stateside might have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy the Nokia N8 since that service will be available to limited European countries initially. Nokia could probably point towards Hulu or iPlayer, bringing ad supported, streaming Web TV service to your handset. Guess there doesn’t seem to be any end as to how cellphones and smartphones bring entertainment to your palm, eh?

It doesn’t look as slim as it should be from the side compared to from the top, but at least it is a pretty good job for a non-professional!

BlackBerry Bold 9650 owners might be interested to know that there is a leak for the OS 5.0.0.643, and while it isn’t the upcoming BlackBerry OS 6.0 that most folks are looking forward to, at least it is a step closer. Interestingly suitable, that OS leak came about a little bit early considering the device itself isn’t even out on the market just yet. For those who won’t mind taking the risk of installing an unofficial OS, why not download it first only to apply it when you get your hands on the Bold 9650?

Despite all the hype and leaks about the upcoming iPhone 4G and the “iPhone” label at the back of it, we’re fairly certain that that “Leady Apple” phone isn’t the iPhone 4G. It’s probably safe to assume that “Leady” is probably a typo of Lady, since the phone does seem geared a little bit towards the fairer sex. Specifications of that phone are fairly standard, with the usual built-in games, media playback features, digital camera, FM radio and mirror-finish display. It’s quite cool to have a rounded display, but it browsing the World Wide Web on such a display would probably be disappointing.

Can’t afford one of those fancy racing simulators, but still want to inject a little bit of realism into your racing sessions? You could always try to emulate what that person did with an instrument cluster from a 1992 BMW. He managed to hook it up to interact with his racing simulator, taking the incoming documents from the computer, and reflecting the info on the instrument cluster, giving you that sense of realism of looking at a real tachometer, instead of the boring digital one on your computer. He’s apparently additionally working to fit more parts into that mod, taking it one step closing to becoming a full blown simulator, and we wish him all the best. Check out the video in the full post.
