The MobiCam Digital wireless monitoring system comes in handy for parents who want to keep track of their littles ones at night who reside in various rooms all through the home – after all, it lets you monitor up to 3 different cameras remotely, as expanded as those cameras do not go beyond the 450 feet mark. A cordless monitor that holds a 2.4″ LCD pivoting display can run off its rechargeable lithium ion battery for 8 hours before requiring a trip to the nearest capability outlet. As for the cameras, they come with a wide angle lens that can capture as much as the space they’re monitoring as possible, while a set of IR LEDs that circle the lens lets you view in darkness up to 30 feet. The MobiCam Digital starter kit comes with a monitor and a sole camera for $189.99, where you can add additional cameras at $99.95 a pop.

This is definitely something that you might think twice before giving it to your girlfriend, particularly when you know she is a serious computer user who has ergonomics high up on her list. Dotted with genuine Swarovski crystals, it comes in an appealing carrying case and will connect to your computer wirelessly, featuring a small metal wheel that lets you scroll through documents in a jiffy. It has a rechargeable lithium ion battery inside that lasts for days per charge. Any takers?

You might have seen the Powerstick before, but the latest version looks a tad more interesting. Aside from being used as an 8GB USB flash drive, you can use the Powerstick to charge your portable devices (via the included adapters), thanks to its internal lithium-ion battery. Now it’s a lot easier for you to know how much juice is left in your Powerstick as it sports an easy to read LCD display on the front, showing the charge capacity. It’s currently available in five colors for $99.50 each. Does your portable device need that?

Hitachi has apparently come up with a technology that is able to double the usable lifetime of a lithium-ion battery, which will certainly be welcome by all consumers all around. The method that Hitachi uses will extend the life of the manganese cathodes inside a cell, resulting in the batteries being able to achieve a lifespan of 10 years before needing to be replaced. The additional benefit of that new technology is that it uses less cobalt than usual batteries, and as a aftereffect, should be less expensive to produce. Are you currently dissatisfied with your notebook’s ailing battery? Hopefully Hitachi will be able to solve your woes.

Looks like the folks by at the FCC didn’t want to keep the details of the iPad’s innards all to themselves, as it had published the iPad teardown pictures. From the photos, you’ll be able to see the iPad’s sculpted aluminum casing, as well as the chips. Considering that the iPad touts a 10-hour battery life, it shouldn’t be too surprising to see that there are two large lithium-ion battery packs inside it, while the logic board of the device itself is rather tiny. whether you want to further analyze the details of the chips used, the folks by at iFixit used the pictures to further identify the components, such as the Apple A4 processor, Toshiba flash memory and Broadcom chips. It’s nice of the FCC to publish these pictures to the public, isn’t it? particularly since most of us won’t be taking a shiny new iPad apart.
