The folks by at Dell probably won’t be too happy with the recent videos that Lenovo has posted. We’re talking about the video (available in the full post) that they put up, subjecting the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge and Dell’s Vostro V13 to torture tests. As expected (if not Lenovo probably wouldn’t put the video up), the Dell Vostro V13’s LCD didn’t survive the stress analysis, while the ThinkPad Edge came out unscathed. Do you have any past experiences with cracked LCD displays? What do you think of Dell and Lenovo’s quality?

Lenovo’s ThinkPad W701ds is finally available, where it will retail from a whopping $3,799 upwards, depending on the hardware configuration that you settle on. It comes with a 17” WUXGA display, while its second display is a 10.6” WXGA screen. You will be able to have up to 16GB of RAM running on that puppy, aided by up to a 500GB hard drive, a Wacom digitizer, Wi-Fi and WiMAX connectivity and a 2-megapixel camera. Sounds like a heavy hitter, and your shoulder would definitely get a good workout carrying that around as it weighs a whopping 8.9 pounds.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 line has just leaked out, where we now know that it offers subtle upgrades on its exterior, while the 12″ ultraportable device will see major changes made within thanks to the inclusion of Intel’s latest processors. A standard model is able to hold a dual-core 2.66GHz Core i7 processor, while the slimline X201 will feature the low-voltage 2.13GHz i7 as its best performer. Regardless of which route you choose to take, either model will come with a 2-megapixel webcam, the choice of a trackpad or not as well as a docking station. No notion on when the new ThinkPad will produce its appearance, so stay tuned!

[CES 2010] Lenovo enters the ultraportable laptop category with their ThinkPad X100e, the first first professional-grade ultraportable device from the company that does not break the $500 price point. The ThinkPad X100e is additionally another watershed moment as it marks the maiden outing among AMD and Lenovo, offering business-grade performance while targeting health care, education, SMB and large business audiences. You will find that the ThinkPad X100e does not skimp on features, coming with an 11.6″ display, a trackpoint and multitouch touchpad with 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity and the option to throw in Bluetooth and 3G whether you like. Of course, additional options would inflate the $449 entrance fee you would have to fork out for the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e.
