Lenovo ThinkPad Mini 10 seen Down Under

Looks like there is yet another ThinkPad in the works, as some folks in Australia have spotted it. Going by the moniker ThinkPad X100e, it comes with a 10"display as well as a tried-and-tested chassis, equipped with a trackpoint, chiclet keyboard, an Intel Atom N450 processor and a GMA 3150 graphics chipset among others. What you see above is just a rendition, so the final device will be different to say the least.

Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds

Lenovo's ThinkPad W701ds is finally available, where it will retail from a whopping $3,799 upwards, depending on the hardware configuration that you settle on. It comes with a 17” WUXGA display, while its second display is a 10.6” WXGA screen. You will be able to have up to 16GB of RAM running on that puppy, aided by up to a 500GB hard drive, a Wacom digitizer, Wi-Fi and WiMAX connectivity and a 2-megapixel camera. Sounds like a heavy hitter, and your shoulder would definitely get a good workout carrying that around as it weighs a whopping 8.9 pounds.

Both laptops will come with the latest Intel processors to help you keep up with the times, in addition to NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M and 3800M professional video cards, a quartet of RAM slots to hit 16GB max, up to 500GB of hard drive space and maxing out at 256GB of SSD space, alongside a DVD burner. Mark February 23rd on your calendars since that is when the ThinkPad W Series W701/W701ds will be released, with prices starting from $2,000 upwards.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 line has just leaked out, where we now know that it offers subtle upgrades on its exterior, while the 12" ultraportable device will see major changes made within thanks to the inclusion of Intel's latest processors. A standard model is able to hold a dual-core 2.66GHz Core i7 processor, while the slimline X201 will feature the low-voltage 2.13GHz i7 as its best performer. Regardless of which route you choose to take, either model will come with a 2-megapixel webcam, the choice of a trackpad or not as well as a docking station.
