Cool GTW18 cellphone packs a projector

Cool GTW18 cellphone packs a projector

Cellphones with projectors are nothing new, but next again previously released models did not boast a performance as poor as the Cool GTW18 that you see here today. While it comes with a 3.2" touchscreen display at 240 x 400 resolution, the LED mini projector maxes out at 640 x 480 resolution, which is a far cry from the "HD 1080P" label on the device. Talk about clearly misleading whoever picks that up! Ah well, you would best leave a phone to be a phone, while a projector ought to remain at that as well. Other features that are typical of a China-originated handset would be dual SIM slots as well as a pair of microSD memory card slots (!). Battery life gets exhausted after half an hour of video playback using its projector, which ain't so cool after all.

112 LED Coffee Table

112 LED Coffee Table

Joe's come up with the 112 LED coffee table that looks absolutely gorgeous in any living room, particularly for those who want a contemporary touch. that is made possible thanks to the configuration which is explained in the excerpt below in more detail.

Driving that grid is an ATmega328 in i2c slave mode. It listens for display notes from a second ATmega328 and uses that to set the array of TLC5940 driven LEDs appropriately. Separating the processing microcontroller from the display microcontroller allows for fast and smooth display changes that can be seen after the break. Joe's table exhibits exquisite cable management, clean cipher, and an amazing amount of flexibility.

Sounds like the perfect addition to spruce up your living room, eh?

Samsung will naturally please its citizens first, rolling out its range of full HD 3D LED TVs from the Series 7000 and 8000 family, while folks living in Europe will have to wait until March before they get a sniff of either. Amazon US has already listed the 55" 7000 Series model for $3,299, which is really cheap compared to what South Koreans have to fork out (after conversion, that is) - $4,990. The 46" and 55" models from the 8000 Series will retail for $3,870 and $5,250, respectively.

Color-changing LED showerheads gets remote control

Ever thought of performing some minor renovations in your home? How about introducing color-changing LED showerheads - that moment round with a remote control? You can opt to have the lights fade randomly from one color to another, or jump amidst colors. whether going disco in the shower stall is not your cup of tea, you can always choose to have it operate as it was meant to be, showing off the right color to reflect the temperature of the water at that point in day. Nice to know there is a remote control included, and hopefully one that is waterproof for obvious reasons.

Adapt ADPP-450 micro projector

February 10, 2010

Adapt ADPP-450 micro projector

Adapt has sent word that they will be rolling out the ADPP-450 micro projector in March, where that tiny wonder boasts 100 lumens of brightness as well as 800 x 600 resolution, a 200:1 contrast ratio, DVB-T support and the ability to throw images of up to 150" in size. At that blown up proportion, we wouldn't think the image would look very good whether you're talking about watching movies, but text and pie charts should do just fine. Despite being possibly the world's brightest micro projector, it will still require a fairly dark room to impress. that LED-based projector comes with a built-in 4 watt speaker and is capable of accepting A/V, VGA, USB and a SD memory card. No notion on pricing, but since its battery is external, you will need to lug around an additional device on your travels.
