Software-controlled networked LED lights
March 18, 2010

Saving energy and going green seems to be on the agenda of many folks these days, and these software-controlled networked LED lights are certainly worth looking into thanks to a digital startup known as Digital Lumens. These networked LED light fixtures are touted to save up to 90% of energy when compared to regular HID lights which are normally found in warehouses and commercial buildings, thanks to sensors and software which control precisely how and when the lights are used. Basically, whenever there is more daylight, less artificial light will be used. The system can even be programmed so that it is aware of when selected zones require more light during the day.

LED skirt lights up the night
March 9, 2010

Fashion design student Kristi Kuusk who is a student at University of São Paulo came up with the bright view (no pun intended) of a LED crocheted skirt. Interestingly abundant, the sparkle will light up only when the skirt and ring come together, where the LEDs will soon after light up as a reflection of snow’s shiny effect in the darkness. Definitely not something we're going to send to the washing machine just like that, since the upkeep and maintenance of such tech-inclined fashion wear is possibly more trouble than it is worth.

Piano hacked to feature blue LEDs
March 1, 2010
Just when you thought that pianos are just that - musical instruments that can play a huge array of tunes in the hands of a master musician, along comes that hack that will turn your piano into something much more, a showpiece in your living room, whether you will. After all, a Korg Triton replaces the internals of that old piano, where all the Korg's controls are mounted on the front panel alongside motorized control that hides it away from plain view. Speakers are located at the bottom part of the upright, with blue LED lights adorning the entire length of keys.

February 19, 2010

The Multi-Tab potential Strip concept certainly helps you save in more ways than one - after all, you purchase the number of outlets that you want to use (or need), while a pictogram and energy efficient LED lights help you keep track of all devices connected to it. Unwanted tabs as well as sockets can be detached in a snap thanks to a tug on the respective tab. Well, we're guessing that that design won't catch on anytime soon anyways, considering most folks would prefer the ordinary extension cord as you can never have too many ability outlets at any one day, aye?

Safa tting MP3 player arrives in Korea
December 23, 2009
Safa of South Korea has rolled out their latest tting MP3 player which has a motto that goes like that - 'Art to Fun'. We think that that is somewhat random, but whatever floats their boat. The Safa tting MP3 player will feature a high quality sound codec from DOLPHIN Integration of France, where it will additionally be equipped with the latest 3D G-sensor as well as 27 LED lights that produce it more pleasing to the eye. It seems as though the external controls are touch sensitive, but anyone willing to vouch for that?
