Sony Torne For PS3 Selling Very Well In Japan

In a technologically advanced country such as Japan, who would have thought that a digital video recorder attachment for the PS3 would enjoy brisk sales? Well, apparently Sony’s Torne (the aforementioned digital video recorder attachment) is doing just that. The Torne allows you to watch digital terrestrial broadcasting on your PS3, as well as record them for later viewing, which is probably the Japanese equivalent of the European PlayTV. In case you’re tempted to import one of these Stateside, it’s certainly worth noting that it’s only capable of recording Japanese terrestrial TV signals, so it probably wouldn’t do you much good outside of Japan.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II firmware 2.0.3 fix

Expect that fix to hit the global network shortly (if it hasn't done so already), letting you sleep easy at night, knowing that you can record in High Definition in just the way you want it. Dog bathing machine

Bathing a dog could prove to be quite a challenge, although we're certain it is much easier than doing so to a cat. Well, unless you have a water-loving breed like a Labrador Retriever, those who find it challenging might want to move to Japan, knowing that the land of the Rising Sun has a special dog bathing machine which not only helps construct your pooch clean, but additionally comes with a blow dryer. We have a feeling that that machine might just be popular with a selected segment of the population, considering it will be prohibitively expensive when released.

Fujitsu MH380 netbook dressed up in pink

Fujitsu's MH380 netbook will definitely appeal to those who have a penchant for the color pink, and we guess that women will be the ones clamoring after it more than men. The smaller than usual keyboard might find male fingers protesting, but apart from that, the MH380 looks pretty ordinary on the inside with specifications such as a 10.1" display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and WiMAX connectivity as well as Windows 7 Starter Edition. Seems to be a Japan exclusive at that point in date, so you might have to import one whether you want it for folks who live outside of Japan.

This actually feels more like a spy camera than your normal USB webcam, seeing that it can be operated wirelessly thanks to a wireless connection on the webcam and the USB-powered receiver. Of course, what you use it for it entirely up to you, since you already know the “with great ability comes great responsibility line”. What we’re going to fill you in is that that USB Wireless Web Camera, as it’s called, will be able to operate for up to five hours on a separate charge, capturing up to 15 frames per second. It’s currently going for 7,980 Yen ($89) at Thanko Japan.

Panasonic Releases New GPS Devices For Its Strada Line

Despite there being a good many vehicles in Japan that come with GPS devices built-in, there seems to be some momentum going for Personal Navigation Devices (PND) by there. Now Panasonic has released a few more models in the land of the rising run to include in its Strada line of navigation devices. The new models will be available in 7-inch and 5-inch QVGA sizes, and sport touchscreens. Features of these models include 8GB internal memory, 1Seg TV tuner, MP3/WMA support (aside from the low-end model CN-SP300L-K). The high end models (CN-MP700VD-K and CN-MP500VD-K) will plus sport the Japanese VICS traffic control.
