Cabestan Nostromo watch

Lay your eyes on the Cabestan Nostromo watch and tell us that your mind isn't boggled as to how the innards operate. Named so considering it was inspired by the ship from the Alien movie, the Nostromo will bring together traditional watchmaking with "retro-futuristic audacity", sporting a titanium case and Superluminova phosphorescent coating which comes in handy when dusk falls. Of course, there is plus a price to pay, and tune is one expensive one to sing to at 150,000 Swiss Francs - when converted to US dollars, that amounts to a whopping $141,400.

1984 Macintosh Runs OS X Snow Leopard

How’s that for something to impress your friends? Getting OS X Snow Leopard running on a 1984 Macintosh. Of course, before you start wondering how to get Snow Leopard running on the 8MHz processor, it’s worth taking note that the innards of it have been replaced, or you’d probably have to wait until next year before the desktop would finish booting, that’s whether you could get it to work. Details and pictures of the project are available at Instructables. Have you done any weird chassis mods or something similar before?

Space Invaders clock

Space Invaders clock

While Space Invaders was released half a dozen years after Pong, that doesn't mean that that Space Invaders clock relies on newer technology compared to the Adafruit Pong Clock, since they share the same innards albeit with the Space Invaders model boasting updated firmware. that is definitely one of the more interesting alarm clocks to have in your room, but we hate to have the bitter fight amidst mankind and alien being locked in a perpetual standstill.

Teso iPad clone the closest thing yet

The iPad isn't even out yet, and clones of it have already hit the market thanks to the antics of hardware manufacturers at Shenzen. The Teso is an iPad clone that will be powered by the Windows 7 operating system, boasting multi-touch capability as expected, alongside the innards of a netbook - after all, you can't argue with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, a 10.1" capacitive touchscreen display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, 1GB RAM, GPS navigation, 3G connectivity and a 3,000mAh battery, right? No word on pricing or availability though, but we're pretty certain a mobile carrier won't be selling that with an unlimited notes plan.

Remote control Millennium Falcon

Think you're a better pilot than Han Solo? Prove it with the remote control Millennium Falcon from Hasbro that has hollowed out the innards of the "fastest ship in the universe", only to replace it with one of those propellers commonly found on other airborne remote control toys. It will retail for $49.99 a pop that fall, and chances are dads would want to have more attempts at flying that than their kids.
