The folks by at McAfee are probably scrambling to do their best to limit the damage to their image caused by the recent fiasco of a botched update. The mistake took down tens of thousands (possibly millions) of computers around the globe. Now the safety measure company is offering to reimburse fair expenses associated with the repair of your computer that was botched by that update. To further try and claw back user support, McAfee has additionally offered to extend your existing McAfee subscription by two years, though it’ll be interesting to see how many users take up the extended subscription, considering what just happened. While that isn’t any official confirmation, but the folks by at CrackBerry have managed to get hold of a leaked screenshot, supposedly indicating a Sprint document. Based on the list on the leaked screenshot, you can see a BlackBerry Bold 9650 listed along with what would possibly be the pricing details for the launch. While most of the leaks before that generally pointed towards Verizon Wireless, could there be a possibility that Sprint will release the phone before Verizon?

A leaked image of Best Buy’s stock system seems to show that the HTC Droid Incredible will be retailing at $599.99, which isn’t too poor, once you’ve taken into explanation its juicy specifications. The Elonex iDock Aero for iPhone and iPod touch is pretty much self explanatory – it offers a protective case which plus functions as a wireless video transmitter for a TV, allowing you to let your iDevice stay in the shell and docked to an included cradle, while relying on direct physical connection for video output. As for the iDock XL, that self-contained video viewer allows one to dock an iPhone or iPod in a crevice located right below the 10″ LCD display with 800 x 480 resolution. It is semi-portable, and carries its own battery which means it can handle up to 4 hours of video playback. A screenshot of the HTC Incredible apparently showing up in Verizon’s systems has surfaced, and according to the person who supplied the image, the “On Order” tag in the picture actually indicates that the phones are already in the warehouse, but they’re not ready to be sold just yet. Apparently the phone won’t be shipping to stores that week, but whether Verizon’s already got the phones, you can be certain that the carrier wouldn’t want it to sit there and rot. 156,709 cell phones is certainly a juicy number to sell, and do you think that it will have a fit fight with Sprint’s recently announced HTC EVO 4G?

The smart engineers by at the University of British Columbia’s Human Communications Technology Lab have come up with a very interesting 3D cube, dubbed the pCubee. It’s a cube with displays on all six sides of it, and boasts perspective-corrected rendering and motion-detecting. With each display showing one perspective of an image, you’re given the illusion that you’re looking into a 3–dimensional space, and you can even interact with the images on the display. It’s still currently a research project, but it certainly looks like it has potential. Check out a video of the pCubee in action in the full spread.

Looks like Samsung will be hopping aboard the Windows Phone 7 platform with their handset being paraded for a while at MIX. There are signs that point toward an OLED display, although thanks to the availability of Windows Phone 7 Series minimum requirements does propose at least 256MB RAM, 8GB of flash memory and DirectX9 acceleration.
