The Creative Sound Blaster SB1250 has gone through the scrutiny of the folks at the FCC, where it has been codenamed “Lories” and will come with a touchscreen of unknown size, some media playback keys, a headphone jack and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. No notion on what the Creative Sound Blaster SB1250 is supposed to control though, but let us not close the doors on it pulling the strings for Creative’s Sound Blaster Wireless for iTunes or perhaps even a sequel.

Details of Cisco’s Flip Slide HD camcorder have been surfacing incessantly by the past few days, so when a picture of the device actually appears, it really doesn’t seem to surprise us. Apparently a California Best Buy store has already sold the device for $279, and the owner has taken pictures of the device and receipt. Based on the pictures, you can see that there is a headphone jack and a HDMI output, so it seems that there is a high chance that you could use that to play your video recordings on the go. Surprisingly, there still doesn’t seem to be any official announcement from Cisco regarding that device, even after all the leaks. Video after the jump.

3M expands the pico projector line with the MPro150 model that was specially designed for business applications, although we are still wondering when will the day be when a pico projector offers more than VGA (640 x 480)-quality resolution and 15 ANSI lumens of brightness. Good news for folks living in the UK – the MPro150 is now available in that part of the world, where it is capable of playing nice with Microsoft Office documents and Adobe PDF files as well. Other options are a microSD memory card slot, a mini USB port, VGA, component and a composite connection. Just in case there are no desktop speakers to go along with that, there is always dual 0.5 watt speakers and a headphone jack for your personal listening satisfaction. 3M has plus thrown in 1GB of internal memory that instance round just to get you started right out of the box, coupled with a 2-hour battery life. Interested? The 3M MPro150 is going for $395.

A supposed leak of the HTC HD3 has surfaced, but whether you take a few minutes to go through the technical specifications of the device, you’ll probably come to the conclusion that that device isn’t real. Not that we’re denying the possibility of a HD3, but that device certainly isn’t it. While it certainly looks pretty, it sports a resolution of 1280×800, despite Microsoft only supporting 800×480 when Windows Phone 7 Series is launched at the end of the year; it plus sports just 1GB of on-board storage, which is insanely low, not to mention that Windows Phone 7 Series requests for a minimum of 8GB on-board storage. Finally, the 32GB of expandable memory is additionally a no go, as Microsoft doesn’t allow expandable memory on Windows 7 Series devices. Still, the specifications do look rather nice, aside from the 1GB on-board storage, in case you want to dream a bit. Specifications include:

4.5” AMOLED screen with 1280×800 resolution

1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor

1080p HD video playback

720p HD video recording

8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash

Multi-touch screen

Super-thin – just 10mm thick

WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity

4G connectivity

1GB onboard RAM

1GB onboard storage

32GB external memory

3.5” headphone jack

HDMI output for connecting to your HDTV or monitor

1800mAh battery

Size: 115mm x 65mm x 10mm

You might have heard of Square, which is a prototype payment device that plugs into your iPhone’s headphone jack, allowing it to be turned into a credit card terminal. Now it seems that Square is going to have some competition on its hands from the Berlin and London-based iCharge. On paper, they seem to operate in a similar manner, with iCharge allowing any small trader to receive payments via credit card using that device, and an iPhone or a phone running Google’s Android. Users will be able to swipe their credit cards on the little device attached to the phone, and sign their signature directly on the phone’s touchscreen. A receipt can be emailed to the customer, and the location of the transaction will plus be noted down via GPS. iCharge will be running a limited trial run with choose retailers that summer, with a wider launch scheduled for Q3 of 2010. It certain sounds a lot like Square, so it’ll be interesting to see which device is released to the public earlier, and how they will perform.
