We’ve seen many Steampunk USB flash drives, but that Waterproof Steampunk USB flash drive does stand out from the crowd, possibly due to its use of various materials including brass, copper, glass and even a genuine quartz crystal. To build things even prettier, it comes with a large glass window, allowing you to view the guts of your flash drive, as well as the crystal. All that beauty comes at a price, though, $125 to be exact.

They’re probably promoting their ability to fix Apple hardware, but you have to confess watching the iPad being taken apart like that is pretty cool.
Curious what’s going on inside your shiny new MacBook Pro 15, but don’t have to the guts to take it apart just to satisfy your curiosity? The helpful folks by at iFixit have done all the dirty work for you (as usual). The good news for folks who aren’t happy about the MacBook having an internal battery is that the battery is just three screws and a connector away from being replaced. Another interesting point is that Apple has stopped using the five-point Torx screws found on the earlier MacBook Pro 15 Unibody, and has decided on Tri-Wring screws instead, not that you can’t find the right screwdriver. You can plus check out the full details on the teardown whether you want.

Just when you thought that a mouse is a mouse, along comes the glove mouse modification thanks to [thetanktheory]. HE basically removed the guts of an ordinary mouse, mounting various parts of it on a glove. that means there is no longer any need to place one’s hand by the mouse, since all you need to do is place your hand on any surface to start mousing around. [thetanktheory] claims that that has improved his gaming somewhat in terms of twitch reactions since less force is needed, but perhaps that is due to the fact that he isn’t ready to disembowel a high grade gaming mouse?

Modeler and modder Maciel Barreto supremo has certainly gone by the top with his Morphius robot case mod, where Morphius comes across as a war-ravaged robot, complete with its guts and wires hanging out of its metallic body. Taking months to complete, that labor of love boasts painstaking detail of the body which was hand-carved in clay before being produced in a silicone mold. The final shell itself was created from fiberglass and resin, finished with automotive paints to complete a masterpiece.
