Asus All-in-One PC to get Ion 2

Word has it that Asus will be rolling out their 20" Eee Top ET2010PNT to feature Intel's Atom D510 dual-core processor and Nvidia's GeForce G310 graphics chip within, where the latter has its roots in Nvidia's 40nm DirectX 10.1-ready GeForce 210 GPU. Nice to see all-in-one machines getting more processing muscle, as that might mean they move up a notch in terms of useability as gamers could look to those as a casual gaming machine whether they're not too interested in having the best frame rates in the highest video quality possible each instance they booth up their favorite gaming title.

Quad SSD Sony Vaio Z Due In March?

You’ve probably been drooling by the new VAIO Z series laptop when it was mentioned that it would have a quad SSD drive a while ago. Well, now word is going around that the laptop will be hitting Europe in late March, which isn’t all that far away. Despite it sporting a Core i7-620M processor, it still is careful to keep an eye on battery life, as it allows you to switch within an Nvidia GeForce GT300M, and an Intel HD graphics chip, depending on your usage. You could additionally set it to automatically switch on the fly too, though there isn’t mention of how much battery life that would save. instance to save up your pennies so you can buy that laptop when it’s launched?

Larrabee Graphics Processor Delayed

Those of you who have been eagerly awaiting Intel’s Larrabee discrete graphics chip will be disappointed. In the latest news, Intel has admitted that the chip is behind schedule and will only seem as a "software developer platform" next year - whether ever, and that could mean that consumers won't see it until the year after, in our opinion. There is still no word on performance (or expected performance) and our best bet is that it is just really hard to compete with discrete GPUs. that is speculated to be the main reason for a delay that could turn into a complete cancellation.
