The HTC Desire is going to reach on US Cellular that coming July, and while US Cellular operates on a CDMA network, we are pretty surprised to see the HTC Desire not appearing on larger CDMA players such Sprint or Verizon. Shame though, as we are pretty certain that the HTC Desire isn’t a slouch by any means, considering it comes with a 3.7? AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS navigation, full access to the Android Market and a microSD memory card slot. No word on pricing, but expect full details to roll out in due date.

Looks like Google doesn’t only have its sights set on the GPS navigation market of the U.S., as Google Maps Navigation, the free turn-by-turn navigation service for Android phones, is now available in the UK too. The build is the same 4.1.1 as that released in the U.S. earlier that month. The best part is, Google Maps Navigation will plus work with Android 1.6 devices, so whether you’re worried about compatibility, you should be more or less covered, unless you’re still on Android 1.5. With Android 1.6 support, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 will be able to assemble use of that navigation feature on its juicy 4-inch display. Will that prepare you reconsider your purchase of a committed GPS device?

The Leica V-Lux 20 has finally cracked under public pressure, with specifications, images as well as launch data being leaked out or revealed on purpose. The V-Lux 20 is based on the Panasonic ZS-7, where it will operate as a compact pocket shooter that sports an HD video mode, GPS navigation and a 3″ LCD display. Expect the V-Lux 20 to reach at dealers that coming April 20th with a €549 price point, which is a couple of hundred more Euros compared to a Panasonic offering with similar specifications. Guess there really is merit to a sort name after all, eh?

Check out the Teso device that most public will probably dismiss it as an iPad clone. that device is more than ready to ship, where it will share extremely close specifications with a netbook that when you strip off its tablet pretense and transfer it onto a netbook chassis, you won’t be able to tell the difference. We’re talking about an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, a 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen display at 1024 x 600 resolution, 1GB RAM, a 32GB SSD, GPS navigation support, 3G connectivity, a trio of USB ports and a VGA port, all running on the Windows 7 platform. Just like the iPad that it supposedly clones, that model lacks a camera as well.

The folks at Sinchun of Shenzen has done it again, release another generic Mobile Net Device (MID) known as the Saycool M7, where it will come equipped with a 7″ capacitive multitouch touchscreen display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, coupled with Windows XP as the operating system of choice. Processing muscle comes in the scheme of an Intel Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor, where it will be accompanied by 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, a VGA webcam, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, an optional 3G module, a SIM card slot which plays nice with CDMA and all the relevant USB and Ethernet ports to keep you connected. Seems pretty similar to the Inkia MID500n we covered earlier, save that that model lacks GPS navigation. No view on pricing or availability though.

The Gigabyte G1305 Codfish which was spotted to run on on a version of the Android OS recently picked up its Bluetooth certification from the Bluetooth SIG, and it looks most likely to be known as the Gigabyte Boston. Apart from that, it is plus widely speculated that Orange will be the carrier of choice (for folks living in Europe, that is), although there is still no word on pircing or availability. What we do know about the Gigabyte Boston, however would be its capability of handling both GSM and HSDPA connectivity, accompanied by a 3.2″ HVGA touchscreen display at 480 x 320 resolution, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, A-GPS navigation support, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and 256MB RAM. No view on which version of Android OS it runs on, but keep your fingers crossed that it will be Android 2.1.
