March 9, 2010
Check out a video of the Shuttle XS35 nettop in action at the recently concluded CeBIT 2010 showcase at Germany, where that little nettop that could sports NVIDIA's Ion2 platform which allows it to be a whole lot zippier than expected of a regular vanilla model. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we'll let you "read" the entire tome via the video above to get a better view on what it is like.

Weinmann portable voice-guided ventilator
March 5, 2010

Weinmann of Germany has unveiled a new portable voice-guided ventilator that is specially optimized for EMR and military personnel who perform cardiopulmonary resuscitations in the field. Dubbed the MEDUMAT Easy CPR, it will supply unmistakable spoken directions whenever you use, giving perfect timing of chest compressions thanks to its integrated metronome. The ventilator itself enables one to manually generate a ventilated breath by activating MEDUtrigger on the mask. that allows you to integrate MEDUMAT Easy CPR into the entire CPR process according to your timing - neat, eh? Hopefully that thing doesn't run out of juice during the most crucial moments.

Smartbook Logo 3G notebook
February 25, 2010

Smartbook of Germany's Logo 3G notebook is being prepared to roll out later next month at CeBIT, where it is equipped with a 3G UMTS modem to help you remain connected virtually wherever you are. Apart from that, it comes with staples such as an 11.6" display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, keyboard, an Intel CULV processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, HDMI output and a pretty decent battery of up to 8 hours per charge - no notion whether that can be extended whether Windows XP was the operating system of choice instead of Windows 7 Home Premium. Smartbook has priced their Logo 3G notebook for approximately 699 Euros in that part of the world.

Archos has couple of Android-powered tablets in the pipeline
February 19, 2010

Archos has two tablet devices that will run on the Android operating system, where they will see action in Germany at the CeBIT show, touting both models to be “good value Android Tablets that are specially designed for use in the home”. Sounds promising, but next again which company would disparage their own products before launch? It would be interesting to see whether these are able to remotely challenge the iPad's perceived superiority, although a failure of either (or both) devices would not signal the death knell of Archos.

North Paw anklet points to the north
February 9, 2010

We would say that the North Paw anklet is some sort of mystical geek device that ought to thrill nerds out there who do spend a fair amount of moment in Role Playing Games - after all, that nifty little anklet will always let you know where North is, thanks to eight cellphone vibrator motors located around the ankle. A control unit that holds an electronic compass will sense magnetic north, jump-starting the appropriate motor to inform you of where North is at that point in moment. The North Paw anklet is the outcome of a subsequent experimentation with the Feelspace research performed at the Cognitive Psychology agency of the University of Osnabrück in Germany. Nifty - we would like to see that commercialized to come with a GPS navigation system for outdoor lovers.

Is Samsung Vita OS Related To Its Bada OS?
January 21, 2010
Samsung-Vita-OS.jpg" />
It seems that just a day after it filed for the Bada OS trademark, Samsung went back and filed for a “Samsung Vita OS” trademark (on Oct 22nd 2009). The Vita OS trademark seems quite similar to the Bada OS, not to mention they’re both related to “mobile phones; mobile phone operating system software installed on mobile phones”. Perhaps it’s a backup plan by Samsung in the event that there are problems registering the company, particularly since the company is encountering some problems, in Germany as it’s said that a German company could block the German and EU registration of Samsung’s Bada trademark, since it’s an nearly identical looking trademark in the same energy. So do you think that Samsung phones in the future will be powered by Vita OS, or Bada OS?
