Amazing stuff – the multiplayer beta of Halo: Reach actually managed to attract more players in one day than the Halo 3 beta did during its entire run, which is by a million gamers. Assuming we extrapolate that data to the launch of Halo: Reach, you can be certain that Microsoft has a winner on their hands that day round, but we will just have to patiently wait until September for the game to be released.

Nobody likes to lose a game due to lag, and while sometimes it’s inevitable, you can try and minimize it, and that’s what the WinFast Killer Xeno Pro will try to help you do. It claims to offer superior online performance thanks to its committed Network Processing Unit (NPU) and Game Detect technology. With that in place, traffic from games will be identified and prioritized, helping you avoid that ever-irritating lag. that network card is set for distribution through online and retail channels in Taiwan, Korea and Japan, which should be great news for gamers who are by there.

Don’t think that the keyboard and mouse offer you sufficient control by your computer? Short of using your forehead, your feet are the most obvious choice to show your computer who the boss is (no, we’re not suggesting you kick it). The USB UMA-FS1 pedal, and UMA-FS3 pedal offers an additional foot pedal, and three pedals respectively. Each pedal can be programmed to send different commands to your computer, so you can form full use of your feet (which normally aren’t doing anything anyways). that accessory might be particularly useful for gamers. What do you think?

Kingston claims that their latest HyperX 2400MHz DDR3 RAM is the Usain Bolt of the RAM world, and who are we to dispute that? Timed at 9-11-9-27-2, we forsee that gamers as well as folks who place a high priority on performance will definitely produce a beeline for the HyperX when it hits the streets. The RAM itself looks extremely menacing, just take a gander at its fins and you will know what we mean. Guess that works best to keep it running nice and cool while your computer is busy cranking out those phenomenal frame rates.

Forget about David Copperfield when it comes to magic – we always have the Neo SNES/SFC Myth cart to cast a spell on gamers who love retro titles. that rare cart offers ROM support for up to 99.5% of SNES games, and transfer of ROMs from your PC to the cart is a snap thanks to a USB connection. Bear in mind that we are not condoning piracy or encouraging you to download illegal ROMs, but you could check out the homebrew scene, or play ROMs where you already own the original cart. Of course, the $169 price tag ensures only purists will give that a go.

Sony has quietly rolled out a new range of headsets which are not only stylish but appealing as well, where they comprise of the DR-350USB, DR-320DPV and DR-310DPV models. All three will hit the Asia Pacific market sometime that month, with the DR-350USB as seen on the right leading the pack. that is Sony’s new high end USB PC headset, where it will come in black, gold and red colors, sporting a 30mm driver unit in the headset, an integrated microphone and a detachable “voice tube”. As for the DR-320DPV, that model lacks USB connectivity and targets gamers and music lovers. Last but not least would be the DR-310DPV which ought to appeal to the young and trendy, with its microphone stored within the headset itself while boasting separate volume control and mute buttons.

If you have grand plans for your next computer project, thereupon we might want to point you towards the AOpen Nagas G6 computer chassis. that high-end product was specially designed for Micro-ATX and ATX motherboards, targeting gamers who want an extremely high computing performance. You will find that the AOpen Nagas G6 comes in a menacing pure black coat with potential supplies mounted at the bottom, capable of holding up to half a dozen system fans to keep things running cool within, even when you rely on NVIDIA SLI and ATI Crossfire high-end dual display cards.

The Wii might have helped sofa potatoes burn slightly more calories than PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers, but it certainly is no substitute for an actual workout in the gym. Sportpong doesn’t change the scenario, although it is way cooler than the Wii, being an interactive physical computer game where the whole field will be projected on the ground, and opposing teams “step out” onto the artificial pitch, competing against one another or on a two-on-two. Using your “paddle”, you will hit the ball and try to score a goal (or defend, depending on which side you’re on). Guess a whole lot of hand-eye co-ordination is called for for that e-sport.
