iPhone 3.1.3 firmware is not problem-free
February 9, 2010
The latest iPhone 3.1.3 firmware is not the panacea to fix all of your iPhone's ills, as some folks have already voiced out their concern on Apple's support forums. One of the most critical and nagging issue would be its battery life that ends up pretty wonky for no reason whatsoever, jumping randomly from its current level to on that is extremely low, before returning to what it was before. In worst-case scenarios, one might see their iPhone lose hours of capability despite being fully charged just moments ago, or even running at a higher temperature level than normal. Ironically, the 3.1.3 firmware was supposed to fix the battery meter problem on the iPhone 3GS. Are you one of the unlucky few to be affected by the latest firmware update, and how are you dealing with it?

Gesture Cube offers touch-free gesture control
February 5, 2010

From loner touch to multi-touch, manipulating a user interface or virtual object could soon be touch-free albeit relying on gestures, whether the Gesture Cube is a good indication of the future. that new input device is able to detect one's movements as well as distances in 3D space, resulting in touch-free gesture control courtesy of GestIC electric field sensing technology. Do you think that waving your hands in the air is a much better option compared to actually touching a touchscreen display? Just invent certain you applied liberal doses of deodorant that specific day whether you are going to be wildly gesticulating your arms around the room the entire day.

SmoothTalker hands-free car kits
January 10, 2010
[CES 2010] whether you find Bluetooth headsets to be a pain to wear, soon after it would be safe to consider the SmoothTalker range of hands-free car kits. What that does is, it works with any Bluetooth-enabled handset (check with the official list here on whether your phone is supported or not), entering a hands-free mode the moment you place your handset in its cradle. When you've arrived at your destination, just pocket your handset and you're good to go. Guess that is meant for those who only use hands-free when driving, but otherwise prefer to hold the handset to their ears while carrying out a conversation. Does't increase your smooth talkin' skills to pull in the ladies though.

ioGear Solar Bluetooth hands-free car kit
January 8, 2010
[CES 2010] ioGear knows that green is in (can't you tell by their corporate color?), and their Solar Bluetooth hands-free car kit is pretty self-explanatory. It allows you to hook up with any Bluetooth-enabled device, letting you have both hands on the wheel without compromising on passenger safety. Just don't get into any heated arguments now lest you miss that divider right in front of you! It can support up to 2 handsets simultaneously, and you have a choice to mount it on your widshield or visor. A full charge offers among 11 and 13 hours of charge date, but we think you're better off charging that using a cigarette lighter outlet via microUSB than rely on the sun (unless you live in the desert, of course). Features include echo cancellation, noise reduction, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, committed volume and mute buttons. Available for $69.95 a pop, you might think twice about exposing its plastic parts to extreme heat since there is always a chance of it melting.
