Olympus PEN E-PL1 is for real

The Olympus PEN E-PL1 is not the figment of anyone's imagination - it is as real as you and I, where it aims to offer DSLR-like performance in a rather slim and sleek package. that 12-megapixel shooter is a budget Micro Four Thirds device that boasts High Definition video recording and interchangeable lens to get even the awkward beginner off on the right footing. Forking out $599 for that will come with the 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 zoom lens that additionally graced the E-P1 kit. You can't just rush out and pick one up from a store, since the Olympus PEN E-PL1 will reach sometime next month.

StarTech USB 3.0 ExpressCard

StarTech USB 3.0 ExpressCard

StarTech has rolled out its USB 3.0 ExpressCard which comes with a couple of ports to get you started off on the right footing where USB 3.0 is concerned. There are a couple of things to watch out for though - you won't have sufficient energy to supply a full 900mA for each port, requiring you to tote around an optional AC adapter whether you tend to travel a whole lot. Another drawback would be its design that makes it more than vulnerable of breaking off when dropped or landed on the side of the ExpressCard. Would you fork out $50 for that?
