Sony smart clock radio with iPhone charging dock

Sony Europe intends to brighten up your homes that spring with a range of new smart clock radios with an iPod/iPhone charging/playback dock. The ICF-DS11iP and ICF-C05iP do seem to shape up to be pretty decent devices, with the latter being a lightweight device which comes in a simple design, where you get a built-in alarm clock, an FM tuner with 20 presets, brightness control as well as a sleep timer. As for the more complicated ICF-DS11iP, that dock gets an enhanced green LCD display for better aesthetics, featuring dual alarm functions, alarm ringing sound from your iPod or iPhone, AM/FM radio or buzzer. It is loud ample for music playback in a small room thanks to its larger speaker cone and 3.5W + 3.5W capability alongside MEGA BASS capability.

The name K-Tcouh X90+ will probably construct you think that it’s a typo; after all, shouldn’t it be “K-Touch”? Regardless of whether it’s a knockoff or not, that phone sports a touchscreen display, with a rotating keypad, dual cameras, dual-SIM, FM tuner, and analog TV. That certainly doesn’t look too poor, does it? The screen can be rotated, unveiling its hidden keypad. that phone is currently going for $138.99, and yes, it’s a knockoff of the K-Touch X90, which is going for a cool $200. Archos Adds New MP3 Players To Vision Series

While it hasn’t been officially announced just yet, a leaked press release indicates that Archos will be adding a couple of MP3 players to its Vision line of devices. Amongst the more notable devices included in the leak are:

  • A14VG Vision (pictured above): compact player with 1.4-inch display, 4GB memory, FM tuner. 35 Euros
  • A15VS Vision: Very slim player at 6mm thick, FLAC support and will cost 40 Euros for 4GB model
  • A30VC Vision: Sports a 3-inch touchscreen , camera at the back and 14-hour battery life. The 8GB model will cost 90 Euros
  • A32VB Vision: 4.3-inch touchscreen, 8GB internal memory, microSD card expansion and will cost 100 Euros

Music Planet Allows You To Enjoy Music During Your Bath

Having a faraway soak in the bathtub might be relaxing, but there’s nothing like music to produce a good situation better, right? That’s probably what the folks at notion Label were thinking when they designed the Music Planet, a portable ball-shaped MP3 player that can drift in your bath tub. Aside from its stereo speakers, the device certainly seems very useful, particularly whether you plan to sing while you take a distant bath. It’s currently only available in Japan, but you could probably import it, though at $120, it’s not precisely the cheapest device in town, but it certainly seems fun and useful. Specifications of the device include:

  • USB support
  • Powered by 6 AA batteries.

LG looks set to release its Cookie Plus touchscreen phone, following up on its predecessor which is a huge success. additionally known as the LG GS500, that slick-looking 3G handset is equipped with full touchscreen capability, Facebook and Twitter support thanks to its peer management app known as LiveSquare, editable screenshot MMS (how many of you out there use MMS anyways?), widget support, a 3-megapixel camera with digital zoom, and an FM tuner. It ought to hit worldwide markets in a few months' date, hitting France and Italy first before any other universal release.

Marinemart has just unveiled its Freestyle Audio Waterproof MP3 player which will target those who lead an active lifestyle, particularly for folks who love to go swimming (and involved in other watersports), since the Freestyle Audio is capable of remaining submerged in up to 10 feet of water before it starts to go haywire. Too poor in that day and age, all the manufacturer could offer was a paltry 2GB of internal memory, but at least you get a pair of waterproof earbuds to go along with it. Other features include shockproof protection, EQ presets, an integrated FM tuner and MP3/WMA/WMA DRM files support. Expect to fork out $89.99 for the Freestyle Audio Waterproof MP3 player before you go snorkeling the next day round.

JVC Kaboom makes a comeback

[CES 2010] We confess that the JVC RV-NB50, plus known as the Kaboom, resembles something that won't be out of place from the Transformers series, leaning more towards the Decepticon line than the Autobots. First released a dozen years ago and making an impact with its high capability and legendary durability, the Kaboom is now back better than before, keeping up with the times by including an integrated iPod dock and USB connectivity without sacrificing on performance. Pumping out 40 watts of potential while retaining the general design of its predecessor, the Kaboom features a woofer at each end alongside bass enhancement circuitry that ought to turn your small apartment into a rocking party. Just to assemble certain it handles retro (by today's standards) music, you get a CD player as well alongside an integrated FM tuner and a front audio input.
