Toshiba introduced its new Camileo lineup back in September at IFA Berlin 2009, and the products are available in Europe since January. The super slim full HD camcorder (two third of an inch thick for 3.5 ounces) packs a 5MP CMOS sensor, a 4X digital zoom in 720p (1X in 1080p), a 3.0″ rotating LCD screen, and a SD/SDHC card slot (up to 32GB). The Camileo shoots in H.264, offering video stabilization in 720p and below, an Easy YouTube Upload Button, a LED flash light and a HDMi mini out.

I have not tested the video and audio quality yet, I would have liked a microphone jack like the one I have on my Kodak Zi8, it makes the sound quality way better when I record interviews during trade shows. The Toshiba product manager claimed that the built-in microphone quality is sufficient to perform interviews.

The Camileo S20 comes with a tripod featuring flexible legs (see photo) to shoot videos at crazy angles, that’s great. The CAMILEO S20 in now available for pre-order at toshibadirect.com for $179.99 MSRP and will be available for in stores on April 19, 2010. Check out the photo gallery, features after the jump.
