Apple Mac Pro To Get 6-Core Intel i7 Processors?
February 2, 2010

Apple’s Mac Pro hasn’t been updated since way back in September 2009 when the Quad-Core model received support for 16GB of RAM. Now reports are indicating that the Core i7-980X and Core i7-970 processors might be arriving that month. whether you still remember, Apple was the first to use the Nehalem Xeon, thanks to an exclusivity deal with Intel, and whether history is going to repeat itself, we might see Apple having exclusivity with Intel’s latest processors for a while. These processors will be the first dual-socket, six-core processor from Intel. When you take into consideration that the processor will sport 6 cores and 12 threads, a dual-processor configuration will mean the i7-980X Mac Pro will sport 12 physical cores and 24 logical cores with a top frequency of 3.33GHz. whether that’s the case, you might want to hold off purchasing a new PC/Mac for the moment.

iPhone Dev Program Leaks Info On Jan 27th Launch?
January 27, 2010

Besides the Apple tablet, and AT&T possibly losing its iPhone exclusivity, could there plus be an updated iPhone OS to be announced tomorrow? A mistake in the signup style for Apple’s iPhone Developer Program certain seems to indicate that something related to the iPhone will be happening tomorrow. A placeholder on the signup style (which has been confirmed) reads “Need to update that for the 27th launch”. There isn’t any mention of what will be launching, but considering earlier reports from Flurry, and some other rumors, it’s probably a smart bet to assume that it could be the iPhone 4.0 OS.

Motorola Milestone A853 spotted
January 26, 2010

The US-bound Motorola Milestone A853 might be out in Brazil already, but it is nice to know that the smartphone is heading Stateside as well. that quad-band GSM and tri-band 850/1900/2100 3G phone looks suitable for AT&T or Rogers, and could very well be part of the Android product line up from AT&T in the coming year. With news that AT&T could be losing its iPhone exclusivity in due day, the company needs all the help it can get when it comes to snazzier and jazzed up handsets before the floodgates burst open and all the other carriers have a slice of the iPhone pie.

Will AT&T Lose Its iPhone Exclusivity that Week?
January 25, 2010

Could the day where AT&T loses its iPhone exclusivity be around the corner? There aren’t any concrete reports on it yet (there never are), but it’s speculated that AT&T will be losing its iPhone exclusivity during Apple’s big announcement that week. While it would certainly be poor news for AT&T, users who have been thinking of getting an iPhone but didn’t want to subscribe to AT&T will certainly be rejoicing. Considering that the iPhone isn’t exclusive by in France, and that seems to be helping sales, that is certainly going to be an interesting move from Apple. Carriers will certainly clamor for that phone, but the smart money would probably be on Verizon Wireless, considering the numerous rumors linking a new iPhone to Verizon. The only thing that could invent the deal sweeter would be whether Steve Jobs would announce a new iPhone along with the Apple tablet this week. That would really be Christmas come early, eh?
