HP Slate To Be Launched In Europe In June For €400?

While there hasn’t been any official price or release term for the HP Slate in the U.S. just yet, news is already out that the device could be launched in June, and be ready for sale in Europe by September. Based on the info we dug up, the device will be going for around €400 ($545), and will sport an Intel Atom CPU, built-in webcam, USB connectivity, built-in card reader and the controversial Flash support. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we’ll be getting the HP Slate for $545 when it’s released in the U.S., but it might be a rough guide whether you’re thinking of saving up your pennies for its imminent launch. Would a $545 price point be decent for the HP Slate to hold its own against the $499 Apple iPad?

Street Headphones Allow You To Customize Text On The Headband

Here’s a rather interesting headphone design, the Street Headphone. It has a laser sintered polyamide outer shell, which is made using the rapid manufacturing process. With that in place, customers are able to personalize the own outer shell of the headphones, and have something custom etched on it, be it lyrics, your name, or whatever you feel like. The only downside is that these headphones will cost you a good €833 ($1,140), which is more than most public will pay for a pair of headphones. Of course, whether you’re really into customization, soon after you’re probably prepared to pay the price.
