The Renault 2010 Sand Jumper concept looks like something that we wouldn’t mind having on the beach. The fact that it uses an electric engine isn’t its only eco-friendly credential as it charges itself using nano solar paint that generates renewable electricity to fuel its onboard batteries. The interior is made from recycled PET bottles and other materials that are used in its body are either recycled or recyclable. According to the designer, the onboard battery can be recharged in just by eight hours or you can use its quick charging mechanism to recharge it in just 90 minutes.

If you’re looking for a cheap GPS watch to track your jogs, Garmin has just announced the Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS watch. Despite its promise to be cheap, it doesn’t skimp too much on the features, and can be used for up to eight hours in GPS mode, three weeks on standby mode. The Forerunner 110 sports Garmin’s HotFix technology to quickly acquire and sustain satellite receptions. Your stats can be uploaded to Garmin Connect, and the device can actually hold up to 200 hours of input onboard, so you probably won’t have to anguish about running out of space to keep your documents on that watch, unless you’re planning a (very) extended run. The Garmin Forerunner 110 will be available from next month, along with the official price.
