Nokia’s freshly-announced Car Kit CK-200 offers some rather useful functions, the most obvious which is its ability to connect to two devices at once and switch seamlessly among them whilst you’re busy driving. To further stand out, it can automatically download the phonebooks from both devices, as well as display new text messages that you receive. It additionally comes with a wireless remote which can be attached to the steering wheel for easy access, so you don’t have to fumble around your pockets just to reply a shout. There is additionally the inclusion of the My Own Key, allowing you to listen to a new SMS by your car’s speakers or send a pre-defined text info explaining why you can’t reply the signal. The CK-200 will be available that summer and should be retailing for about €140 ($182). Check out a video ad promoting the Nokia Car Kit CK-200 after the jump.

Web browsers are more or less our window to the Web, so it’s obvious that they’re critical when it comes to the World Wide Web. Skyfire is looking to improve the lives of Android users by introducing Skyfire 2.0 for Android. The new version offers a SkyBar, sitting at the bottom of the screen, which offers easy access to useful new features. The most obvious improvement would be a workaround for the lack of Flash on your phone, as it can do server-side conversions of Flash video to a more supported format such as HTML5. whether you’re looking to get a new browsing experience on your device, you could give it a go. With Opera Mini being approved for the App Store, it’ll be interesting to see whether there will plus be a version of Skyfire on its way to Apple’s iPhone.

While the Palm Pixi is pretty cheap considering it is one of the more basic smartphones around, that doesn’t give you the license to abuse it any way you want to, right? OtterBox has released the Impact and Commuter series cases for the said smartphone, retailing for $19.95 and $34.95, respectively. As with any other self-respecting OtterBox, both Impact and Commuter series cases will offer protection against shocks and drops which would normally be a death blow to your Palm Pixi. The Impact series case comes with a silicone skin that offers all round protection while providing easy access to all buttons and phone features. As for the Commuter series, it has 3 layers of protection which will definitely add to the bulk (and peace of mind).

Working with more than one display at your desk is something many of us are already doing since it is much easier to keep multiple windows open on different displays in order to better keep track of everything that is going on. 9X Media understands that, unveiling a new X-Top Multi Screen Commander System which boasts the benefits easy access, use and control of a variety of 4U rack-mount components which will include iPods, KVM switches, AV controls and potential control. Touted to be the first scalable, customizeable and upgradeable multi-screen solution in the world, it is capable of scaling from a mere 2 displays to a whopping 15. Environmentalists, take note – that is made from clean recycled aluminum and includes a lifetime of parts and labor warranty.

[CES 2010] Bandshell jumps into the lucrative iPhone 3G and 3GS case market with its latest fashionable case that will convert whenever the patent-pending sound door glides from the back. The use of its curves supposedly enhances the acoustics of the iPhone’s internal speaker, similar to how a well-designed bandshell or concert hall helps magnify the sound of live music. The flat side of the Bandshell allows the iPHone to stand up by itself, providing easy access to viewing album covers, videos and apps. It goes without saying that you are not meant to use the Bandshell to replace committed external speakers, as it is more of a private affair for a personal listening experience. Guess folks who deal with conference calls or hands-free conversation will find the Bandshell more useful. Available in a dozen colors, you can pick it up at a special CES price of $19.99 per case till one day after Valentine’s.
