As kid’s we’ve all tried to cheat the Rubiks’ cube by removing its stickers and sticking them back in the proper order, but that Android-powered LEGO robot doesn’t need to resort to such petty tricks, as its able to fully solve the Rubik’s cube in under 25 seconds. It was created by David Gilday, who has previously built a Rubik’s cube solver with LEGO bricks too. The main difference about that method is that it has an Android-powered Motorola Droid smartphone at the heart of it running a custom application. Check out a video of it putting humans to shame after the jump.

Looks like Google isn’t the only company that likes to give its employees free Android-powered cell phones, as reports are in that Adobe is plus preparing to give its employees Android-powered cell phones. that is probably related to the upcoming release of Flash 10.1 for Android devices, as well as the recent disagreement with Apple by Flash on the iPhone/iPad. It wasn’t specifically mentioned whether all employees or just Adobe’s developers would be getting the Android devices, but considering that Adobe has about 8,600 employees worldwide, chances are that developers are going to be the lucky ones. What device would be given wasn’t specifically mentioned, but the common trend seems to be Google’s Nexus One and Motorola’s Droid.

Twitter junkies out there who are running an Android-powered phone should be overjoyed to assemble out that the social networking company has finally released its official Twitter application for Google’s Android OS. Amidst all that good news, there is some poor news, which is the fact that the application only works on Android 2.1, which means that based on what’s in the market, more or less only the Motorola Droid, Google Nexus One and the HTC Incredible will support it, leaving users who are running older versions of Android, such as Android 1.6, praying hard that an update is around the corner. Considering social networks try to get as much exposure as possible, it’s slightly strange to see the application only support Android 2.1, but let’s see how it works out in the towering run. Are you planning to install the Twitter application on your Android phone now?

Android users who used to cast envious glances at iPod touch and iPhone users will be pleased to know that they will be getting the Sirius XM app sometime later that year, and it looks set to be more or less similar to the iPhone OS version, boasting 3G and Wi-Fi streaming support. Strangely suitable, Sirius XM seem to indicate that that app will be available only for the Droid and Nexus One, but we do hope they will extend its availability to other handsets as well.

Good news for folks who are running a Motorola Milestone on TELUS. You’re now able to get hold of the Android 2.1 update, and you don’t even need to be in Hong Kong. The slight downside is that you won’t be able to get an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade like Verizon’s Motorola Droid, but you are able to download it directly from Motorola’s website. Improvements include the ability to add more home screens, more widgets, animated wallpapers, updated Google Maps with pinch-to-zoom and a few others. As usual, remember to backup your files and settings before attempting an upgrade.

Remember the leaked Verizon page that we brought to your attention a little while ago, showing the HTC Incredible on Verizon’s website? Well, it seems that the page was up again a little earlier, and the device got a little name change, going from HTC Incredible to Droid Incredible. The page has since been password protected again, so you won’t be able to access it, but a screenshot (pictured above) of the page has been captured for your convenience. Whatever Verizon plans to signal it, as faraway as they release it quickly, we aren’t going to complain.

We all know that the iPad does come with some decent and even addictive games, so what is stopping its rival, the Motorola Droid, from coming up with great games of its own? Well, apart from developers flocking to where the money is, it could very well be due to the ergonomics of the hardware. Perhaps the Game Gripper might just spruce things up a bit, as it slides by the Droid’s keyboard, moving the D-pad to the left while throwing in another eight buttons for whatever game you are going to embark on your Droid. The Game Gripper retails for $14.99 and has more buttons than Ryu can shake a helicopter kick at. Check out the video in the extended post.
