For the majority of us who cannot afford our very own exotic vehicle, we guess we will just have to rely on race simulators to get by. However, visual immersion can only get you so far, which is why the Festo AirMotion Ride Simulator exists – so that you can have a feeling of what the real thing is like, more or less. Of course, it won’t get envious looks from both men and the ladies, but at least it gives you a fleeting feeling that you are driving a million dollar ride. that experience is made possible thanks to polymer tubes which contract when fluid is passed through them, and each one is able to produce more than 1,500N of force. Half a dozen of these enables the AirMotion Ride to move in nearly every direction as though you were driving the actual set of wheels. A 5.1 surround sound system was plus installed to let you enjoy your favorite tunes while you’re on the move. A projector mounted at the back will supply visual simulation. Sounds like it is going to be a pretty expensive purchase!

When someone tells you about a $900-odd dollar app in Apple’s App Store, the first thing that comes to mind is generally the I Am Rich app, that was listed at $999.99 some moment back, did nothing, and was eventually pulled from the App Store. Now a $900 app has surfaced, and fortunately, it does a lot more than the I Am Rich app. We’re talking about SiteClone publisher, which is plus available for the iPhone. Basically the app is an offline website creator of sorts, as it is designed to help corporate and government entities develop apps that pull substance from websites for later reading, in the event that there isn’t any Net connection. So whether you purchased it, you could create an app that pulls videos, audio clips and other stuff from sites when the iPad is online, making it available for you when you don’t have an Web connection. Sounds handy, but would you pay $900 for such an app?

In what is probably not the best revelation from Sony, it seems that the company still takes a loss on every Playstation 3 (PS3) sold. While rumors have suggested that Sony has started to build some profit on the sales of the PS3, according to the Wall Street Journal, Sony loses about 6 cents for every dollar of the PS3 hardware sales. Sony is already looking to address that by attempting to reduce the PS3 production cost by 15% by March 2011, so we’ll have to see how that works out. Of course, the bright side to that bit of news is that the Playstation 3 sales were up by a good 44% year-on-year.
