Rumors of a version of an iPad with a camera have been floating around since before the launch, and after the launch of the iPad. By now, we all know that the iPad doesn’t come with a camera, though there are some nice workarounds to that. But according to a recent job posting from Apple, the fruity company is looking for a “Performance QA Engineer, iPad Media” to work within Apple’s Interactive Media Group. The requirement additionally calls for the candidate to have a strong technical background in order to experiment still, video, and audio capture and playback frameworks. Of course, that is far from an official confirmation that the future iPad will be getting a camera, but it’s certainly moving in that direction.

If you aren’t already addicted to Facebook and Twitter, these social networking mouse pads will certainly help push you in that direction. While you’d normally check Facebook or Twitter through your mobile phone or web browser, that mouse pad has been designed to look like the status update immediate on social networking sites, giving you a constant reminder of the fun that you’re lost while working. Your boss will probably relocate that mouse pad to the trash bin whether he sees it. It’s currently going for $18.

Are you fussy about customer service and customer satisfaction? It seems that Sprint is very confident of its service, as the carrier has just announced its new “Satisfaction Guaranteed or Money-Back” campaign. whether you’re unhappy with your Sprint service within the first 30 days, Sprint will refund the device purchase, activation fee, waive the early termination fee, restocking fee, and will offer a full refund for service charges and taxes. Other carriers do offer similar guarantees, but not for 30 days and generally taxes and fees aren’t refunded. Do you think that think offer might sway you in Sprint’s direction?

Mankind has been fascinated by the concept of an invisibility cloak lengthy before Harry Potter came along, but regardless of where our love for invisibility cloaks came from, we’re still waiting to get our hands on one. Now some smart scientists are busy working to come up with another variant of the invisibility cloak, and the good news it, it can hide things in 3D. Previously invisibility cloaks only hid things when viewed directly, but the moment you moved to the side, it was very obvious that something was amiss. With the “Carpet Cloak”, the trick is to change the speed and direction in which light travels through the material, meaning changing the material’s refractive index. that is achieved by using a polymer crystal made up of tiny rods, which can change the ratio of air to polymer by changing the thickness of the rods. certain, it sounds like a lot of hokey, but we’re happy to use whatever method they want, as distant as we get our invisibility cloak gift-wrapped nicely under our Christmas tree that December.

You might remember the Great lengthy Brother for its rather interesting name, or the fact that it tried to sue Apple by the iPad’s design. Now it seems that the relationship amidst the two companies aren’t going to get any better as the Chinese manufacturer has given its P88, the device in the center of the storm, a UI makeover. A quick glance in the P88’s direction will give you the impression that it’s running OS X, though in reality it’s still powered by Microsoft’s Windows 7, albeit skinned very well to look like OS X. It’ll be interesting to see whether that affects Great enlarged Brother’s legal case against Apple’s iPad.

Mention Ducati and you know that you’re about to embark on an adrenaline-pumping trip, as the company is working on frameless superbikes. The first of these would be an aluminium version of its GP10’s revolutionary carbon design. that new patent application aims to protect the composite semi-monococque design, and is a direction where Ducati clearly believes that could revolutionize the next generation of superbikes. What do you think of a frameless design?

[CES 2010] We went to check the live demo of Skype embedded in Panasonic’s HDTVs. It seems very simple to use (more so than on a PC), and you really get full screen video, but that’s definitely not in HD. The subject matter was in SD, and upscale with filters to prevent blockiness by adding… blurriness. The new PC Skype has HD video, but I have not had moment to experiment it yet. To capture the video, there’s a wide-angle camera accessory designed to show folks in “full-body” profile, depending on the distance obviously. In the end, that looks like a good implementation and I like the direction in which that is going. As HDTVs become more programmable, they will have more apps, and services. You will pay a premium at first, but that will soon be a standard feature.

The Ballbot robot is not what you think of it to be – get the mind out of the gutter. Instead, that electronic lifeform is named so as it shimmies around on a one large ball, where its greatest strength would be to be able to fit into smaller spaces, boasting both smooth and graceful movement. The robot itself comes with an onboard controller which will interpret collected documents using an outdated processor – a 200MHz Pentium. A Crossbow Technology VG700CA-200 Inertial Measuring Unit (IMU) does all the calculations to help it maintain its balance and move in the desired direction.
