HP TouchSmart tm2 ablet PC
January 6, 2010

[CES 2010] HP knows that touch is the way of the future, and hence introduces the HP TouchSmart tm2 notebook which offers a careful mix of potential and performance without compromising on portability. The TouchSmart tm2 will see off its predecessor, the tx2, by boasting a keyboard as well as a touch-enabled display for input. When converted to a slate, the tm2 packs a decent punch as a sketchpad with its digital pen, enabling artists to sketch on the go while students use it to take down notes during lectures. Multitouch gestures are additionally supported to keep up with the times, while the digital pen makes handwriting seem as though it was similar to the experience of writing on paper. Among the other new touch applications that enhance the tm2 experience include BumpTop, DigiFish Dolphin and Corel Paint it! Touch. HP's TouchSmart tm2 will come with a 12.1" WXGA HD LED widescreen touch-screen convertible display and retails for $949 when it hits the market that January 7th.
