App Store Is Now Accepting iPad Apps
March 19, 2010

With the iPad just around the corner, developers are going to be jumping for joy when they receive the mail from Apple (which has been sent out) notifying them that they can now start submitting apps for the iPad App Store. The app will obviously be reviewed by Apple’s App Review Team, which is pretty much the same process for submitting your app for the iPhone. You’ll need to submit your app by March 27th in order to produce it for the grand opening. Don’t forget that your app needs to be built using the iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 5 in order to be accepted for the initial review. Do you have any apps lined up to be reviewed by the App Review Team already?

iPad Developers Get To tryout Out The iPad Under Heavy Security
March 19, 2010
Details of Apple’s hush-hush protection measures have come up again, as the company seems to love to work in secrecy. Word is out that some developers have received iPads to experiment their applications on, but apparently they had to jump through quite a few hoops in order to get a unit. Apparently testers were called for to promise to keep the unit isolated in a room with blacked-out windows, not to mention that the iPad must remain tethered to a fixed object. Just to assemble certain that they comply, Apple won’t send out the iPad until potential partners send photographic evidence that they’ve complied. We’re certainly looking forward to getting our iPad when it’s released, so stay tuned!

RIM Offers BlackBerry Push Services To All BlackBerry Developers
March 17, 2010

RIM had previously mentioned that it would be making the BlackBerry Push APIs available to all developers for free in the first half of 2010, and it seems that the company is going to build good on that promise by offering two levels of push services. that is additionally great news for the end user, as while applications out there already produce use of push services, the services cost quite a bit for developers to implement, so with the latest offerings, developers should be able to cut down the cost of their applications, or perhaps even offer them for free. The push services offered are:
- BlackBerry Push Essentials - is a free service that developers can incorporate into their applications and allows them to push composition to their customers with unparalleled immediacy.
- BlackBerry Push Plus - which has a free tier and paid tiers, provides developers with notification that their push has been delivered. whether a composition provider needs to get info to someone, they can tell whether the target device has received the push.

Microsoft Web Explorer 9 takes advantage of GPU
March 16, 2010

Who would have thought that something as humble as a Web browser will one day harness the capability of your computer's committed graphics card? That is happening to Microsoft's Net Explorer 9, where it will build full use of the potential of the GPU when it comes to page rendering, where developers are able to exploit that using CSS, DHTML and Javascript. There will be a new Javascript engine incorporated into Net Explorer 9 with greater interoperability and standards support all round. Does that mean you will need to equip your machine with a couple of graphics processing units? No, a basic video card ought to do the trick.

I am not a developer and I have not seen the bundles or the tool, whether you are a developer attending SXSW, go to the “Eleven API Lounge” of the Hilton Hotel, (directly across from the Austin Convention Center): Alcatel-Lucent will demo its new offering, which is part of its developer platform and program.
