For those of you who love Wi-Fi (which probably means the whole world), a developer has released a video promoting his Wi-Fi Sync app to the world. whether the name didn’t already give it away, the app allows you to sync your iPhone (or iPod touch) with iTunes without all the cable fuss. It seems pretty straightforward, functioning as the iPhone would when connected via cable. The developer is looking to submit the app for approval at the end of the week, and hopefully the folks by at Apple approve that, as it does seem rather useful. Video after the jump.

Microsoft is making a remarkable re-entry into the mobile application development at Mix. Starting right now, development tools for Windows Phone 7 are available, for free, at developer.windowsphone.com. To get an concept of what the tools do, I would recommend you to look at the keynote that was broadcasted at live.visitmix.com, but the basic concept is that Windows Phone 7 development looks sweet. Web-based applications seem fairly easy to build, particularly whether you are already familiar with .NET. Blender, the tool used to build the (Silverlight) user interface is additionally provided for free. A handful of applications like FourSquare or Netflix (with streaming video) were shown, but overall that is looking very good for Microsoft, much better than it has ever been for them in the mobile space. that is big.

Well, with the iDongle, you won’t have to go through the tedious process of jailbreaking your iPhone. The device can jailbreak an iPhone, and more importantly, reboot a jailbroken iPhone on the go. The only downside of that device is that it currently only works on the iPhone 3GS running firmware 3.1.2, and iPod touch 2G/3G. There are only about a dozen or so of these devices available at the moment, but the developer is busy in the process of raising money to ramp up production. whether you’re drooling by that at the moment, check out the video on it after the jump.

It often takes a community to come up with modifications and changes that will affect a specific device positively after the manufacturer lost out to listen to its customers, and that’s what happened with Google’s Nexus One handset. A developer decided to take things into his own hands by modifying the Android 2.1 operating system to enable multitouch capability on the Nexus One browser. There is a downside to that hack though – you will lose all your bookmarks and browser settings on the initial run, while a bigger drawback would be the possibility of having the phone’s warranty declared null and void. Are those the prices that you are willing to pay? To know more about the Nexus One and what we think of it, read our in-depth review.

The creator of the Final Fantasy franchise is reportedly working on a new game project for the iPhone. There are no details on the game at that point only that the gaming legend is working on the project.

Intel has rolled out a new beta software development kit which aims to create applications for an iPhone App Store-like service, and hope to see that software pre-installed on upcoming Atom-powered netbooks. The business model will plus be highly similar, offering 70% of sales to the developer while Intel will gather the remaining 30% which covers all relevant costs needed for operations and partnerships. that software will be compatible with netbooks powered by Windows or Intel’s own Moblin operating system. Do you think that concept will take off? Only day will tell.
