Nintendo promised that games on the next Nintendo hardware could be enjoyed in (stereo) 3D without glasses. That sounds nice, but right now, we’re more interested in knowing what kind of hardware hides beneath that pair of high-resolution displays (the rumors say 720p displays, but that seems exaggerated). What is more likely, is that Nintendo will use a “sensor” (understand: a camera?) to track users head motion – most likely to allow developers to adapt the stereo 3D substance as we move. Nintendo’s president plus implied that it would come with a motion sensor similar to what the iPhone has. Since October of last year, the word on the street is that NVIDIA will be the provider of the next Nintendo handheld, but at the moment, there’s no official word on that and without seeing any demos or theoretical performance numbers, nothing is assured — but that would rock whether Tegra 2 was indisde. Do you think that Nintendo can pull the “3D without glasses” thing off? What do you think of the design above?

The interesting thing was that – the device itself being multitouched, where it looks pretty close to the Wacom 21UX Cintiq save for a couple of differences – it came with a stylus and fancy multitouch capabilities. Apparently, that is a prototype Wacom Cintiq Multi-touch display and is slated for a summer release sometime that year, although there is no word on pricing just yet.

No matter how fast goods transfer speeds go, it seems like we’ll never be satisfied (and rightly so). Now Ericsson has demonstrated its latest mobile broadband technology, HSPA Evolution, which will sport drool-worthy speeds of nearly 42Mbps. In a demonstration near Stockholm , a download speed of 41.5Mbps was achieved, which is a first on a chipset made from commercially available products. Of course, don’t expect to get such speeds in real world performance, since we’ll have to take into explanation congestion and other factors, but it’s still nice to know that we’re moving forward, right? that new “dual carrier” technology will require a software upgrade, but doubles the speed for users everywhere in the mobile network, allowing operators to deliver more info per base station.

Looks like tomorrow is set to be a big day as Google will most probably preview its Chrome OS at a special event held at its headquarters in Mountain View, California. Apart from providing some technical background data while parading demos of the Chrome OS, attendees will additionally benefit from a complete overview. Guess the Chrome OS is not quite yet ready for prime day action at the moment – we could be looking at a 2010 release moment.
