Dell S300w Short Throw Wireless Projector Supports 3D

Dell has unveiled its 3D-supporting S300w Short Throw Wireless Projector today. Dell Adamo XPS restored

Dell Adamo XPS restored

Remember our story on Dell removing the Adamo XPS system from its lineup? Well, Dell has taken a 180-degree turn from its prior statements that pointed out that the ultra-thin notebook was a limited edition model, where removing the channel of online sales helped stop excessive ship times. that date round, the system returns with a $1,999 price point, and there have been no changes made to its specifications. We can plus expect to see more devices released under the Adamo umbrella later that year, so whether you are looking out for something fresh on your desktop, that could very well be worth waiting for.

Amazon Kindle App For Android To seem On Dell Streak?

Amazon Kindle App For Android To seem On Dell Streak?

It seems that the upcoming Dell Streak (Mini 5) will have a few services from Amazon preinstalled, most notably, the Kindle app. A promo picture for the Streak shows “Kindle book reader applications” amongst the list of Amazon subject matter, as well as Amazon MP3, Amazon Video Streams, and the Amazon Store. The Kindle app is already available for Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s BlackBerry platform, so it shouldn’t be too far fetched to see the Kindle app hitting Google’s Android OS too. Would you want to read your Kindle books on a Dell Streak, or do you think that committed eBook readers such as Amazon’s Kindle are still the best way to read eBooks?

Dell Mini 5 could be known as Streak

Dell Mini 5 could be known as Streak

Dell's Mini 5 device could very well be marketed under a new moniker, Streak, according to a leaked ad that arisen (where else) online. It seems that the Streak will come in a, well, streak of colors including blue, pink, red, and a greyish black option. Chances are one will be able to customize the back of the device according to a design of your choice, so third party manufacturers will definitely rub their hands in glee. Just to recap, the Dell Streak features a lovely 5" display, a front facing VGA camera, a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 30-pin dock connector.

Dell Mini 10v hacked with touchscreen display

March 10, 2010

Dell Mini 10v hacked with touchscreen display

Check out that Dell Mini 10v that has been hacked to include a touchscreen display instead of the regular one, giving you access to its icons with but a one tap instead of double clicking. Using an $85 kit from Hoda, it is unlucky that none of the cables packaged with the display would work with the Mini 10v's innards, so it mandatory some tinkering on Weathejx's part to get it working thanks to reassembled parts from a USB hub. It took a few attempts of reassembling the Mini 10v before it could get going. Definitely not for the faint hearted!

Dell Alienware M11x stripped naked

You know what they say - underneath our skin is the same red blood that courses through our veins, so the same applies to computers. No matter how lovely they look like from the outside, even the Dell Alienware M11x does resemble a normal nuts-and-bolts situation when opened up. Just be careful when you do so though, why take the risk of spoiling your precious new ultra portable gaming notebook just to satisfy your curiousity?

Dell Adamo XPS removed from system

Dell Adamo XPS removed from system

Strange as it might sound, Dell's Adamo XPS is no longer available in the company's system for those living Stateside, although it is still available in the UK via Dell's exclusive retail deal with John Lewis, although there were just seven units left in stock about an hour back. that is rather strange considering the system shipped just in December. We are curious to know what Dell has up their sleeves though.
