The Motorola MING smartphone seems to have gotten an update, where it is now known as the MT820 according to the latest photos uploaded to a Chinese site. These photos seem to tout a different case design as well as button arrangement, but we do know it will be called the MT820. Widely believed would be it running on at least Android 2.0 (or above) alongside the MOTOBLUR user interface, dual SIM support, a 5-megapixel camera with video capture capability and compatibility with the TD-SCDMA network in China. There is no word on pricing or availability just yet though.

The build is the same 4.1.1 as that released in the U.S. earlier that month. The best part is, Google Maps Navigation will plus work with Android 1.6 devices, so whether you’re worried about compatibility, you should be more or less covered, unless you’re still on Android 1.5.
If you’re looking to building your own cloned computer with the latest and greatest, you might want to take note of the latest rumor, which suggests that Intel is planning to introduce a new CPU socket next year. While a new socket might be good news to some folks, the downside is that apparently there will be no compatibility among the current LGA1366 Core i7s and the new socket. According to the rumor, there will additionally be a new chipset to accompany the socket, unofficially nicknamed “X68” at the moment, which will feature four DDR3 RAM slots instead of the six that you see on current X58 boards. whether that rumor turns out to be true, will you be changing your upgrade plans for your computer, or are you still planning to get a new rig in the next few months?
