The iPhone 4G isn’t even out yet, but the folks at Shanzai are ahead of even Apple themselves with a type new iPhone 4G clone. that handset copies the design but don’t expect its innards and software to hold a candle to what Cupertino is able to offer, although one can just envision the staple China specifications including a dual SIM carriage, Java support and an integrated FM radio among others. It plus will be a whole lot cheaper, that’s for certain!

The Apple iPad has certainly rocked the tablet industry since its release, but it has hardly been a game changer. Still, its presence in the market is decent to entice manufacturers from China to come up with clones, and Liweitech is up to the challenge with their yet unnamed device which runs on Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate. that media capable ebook reader will run off an Intel Atom N270 processor and ought to be more pricey compared to a regular iPad clone, although the final price point could probably be less than an actual iPad. As with all the other clones, without proper back-end support when it comes to downloadable substance, is it even worth your moment and money?

Eken decided not to take the well trodden path of an iPad clone by rolling out its latest Mobile Web Device (MID) that has yet to be named, where it is powered by a VIA 8505 processor, featuring a 7″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, 128MB RAM, 2GB of internal memory that can be augmented with a microSD memory card, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Sounds decent, save for the 128MB RAM which really is far from the minimum due these days. Hopefully the internal operating system is basic and yet decent sufficient to see action in the hands of consumers. No concept on pricing or availability as at press moment.

Isn’t that ironic – an iPhone clone known as the Miphone A3 will at least not run on a knockoff version of the iPhone OS, but will instead rely on the open source Android OS albeit with a user interface that does resemble the iPhone’s just to keep the folks at Apple hot under the collar. Features include a 3″ HVGA capacitive touchscreen display with multi-touch capability, Wi-Fi connectivity, WCDMA support and Android 1.5. Shame about the operating system version though, as they could have at least thrown in Android 1.6 at the very least. No word on pricing and availability as at press day though.

The Sony Vaio P is back in the structure of yet another clone – we’re talking about the Aoson R169 from Shenzhen Anson. that model comes with a trackpoint that saves room since there is no more need for a touchpad, where it will be powered by an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, accompanied by an 8.9″ display at 1,024 x 600 resolution, 1GB RAM, an 80GB hard drive and 3G support. No concept on pricing, but it probably won’t be more expensive than the real deal. Check out our previous coverage of other Vaio P clones here.

We all know that the real iPad (read our review) does not come with any physical keyboard, so to see an iPad clone with one certainly raises an eyebrow. that China-made device boasts a chocolate netbook-like keyboard which slides out sideways, while an iPad clone which hails from Shanzai is used as the main body. Looks like an obvious Photoshop job to us, but who knows, someone out there might just gain “inspiration” from that and actually churn out something like it?

Check out yet another iPad clone to hit the scene, that day round “thanks” to yet another China manufacturer. Powered by an Android operating system, that 7″ display comes with 800 x 480 resolution and measures a pretty svelte 14mm in terms of thickness, while tipping the scales at 320 grams. It is capable of 720p video playback, but don’t expect it to handle 1080p videos. The Rockchip RK2808 chipset is an obvious giveaway thanks to the Rockchip sticker located at the bottom, letting us know that it has a fully capable chipset when it comes to handling multimedia playback. Too poor we do not have knowledge on pricing or availability as at press moment.

The iPad is a successful device simply considering it has been cloned already several times over, but that doesn’t mean the nightmare has stopped with the latest clone being the Airis iTab7. that touchscreen device comes with a 7″ display and seems to occupy no man’s land, perched precariously within a portable media player and a mobile Net device. After all, you get 2GB of internal memory, 512MB RAM and an 800MHz ARM processor with Windows CE as the operating system of choice. Supported video file formats include AVI, RM, RMVB and MKV with HDMI and composite output rounding off the list of features. Out for around 170 Euros (in Europe, where else), it doesn’t look as though it will hit the US market anytime soon.
