With the Motorola Cliq XT hitting the news recently, it’s good to see a leak that shows the phone being unboxed and pictured live. According to the source, the Motorola Cliq XT is powered by Android 1.5, and sports Moto Blur, though there is a high possibility that it will be getting an Android 2.1 update in the future. One of the more interesting features of the Cliq XT is the inclusion of the Swype input system, which allows you to “type” out messages by swiping your finger by the letters instead of pressing them. The phone additionally includes a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. Is that the Android-powered phone that you’ve been dreaming about, or is that not the Android device that you’re looking for?

According to the leaked knowledge, the HTC HD2 will set you back $199.99 after a rebate, while the Motorola Cliq XT will be going for $129.99 after rebate, and finally the Nokia Nuron will be priced at $69.99 after rebate. Of course, the pricing mentioned is whether you’re willing to agree to a plan with the carrier, whether not you’ll have to shell out $449.99, $329.99 and $179.99 respectively for the phones. whether you haven’t been entertaining the view of a new phone before that, will that tidbit of news whet your appetite for a new phone?

It seems that the Motorola CLIQ 1.3.18 update is nothing but trouble, with some major bugs in there that renders some handsets unusable. To term, many users have already posted about their problems and troubles they have gone through on official Motorola and T-Mobile forums after installing the latest update. It seems that whenever they reboot their phone, the system date is wrong and unchangeable, resulting in a host of synchronization issues and problems with the Android Market. Nice to know that T-Mobile and Motorola are aware of the problem, which results in an upcoming fix.
