Apple Gearing Up For 27-inch Cinema Display And Xenon 5600 Mac Pro
March 19, 2010

Looks like Apple is gearing up to release some rather cool stuff that summer, as word is going around that Apple is ready to introduce its 2560 x 1440 resolution 27-inch LED-backlit Cinema Display, which is a rather nice upgrade from its current 24-inch offering. Apparently the 27-inch model has been developed by Apple for some moment now, but the fruity company was waiting for market prices to drop to a more fair level before launching the product.
Even juicier should be the news that a new Mac Pro is lined up to feature two Xenon 5600 hexacore chips from Intel. whether that’s too energetic for you (yeah, right), you can additionally go for the restricted chip Mac Pro which should sport clock speeds of 2.66GHz, 2.8GHz, 2.93GHz or 3.33GHz. There isn’t any mention of a Core i7 processor, but considering the Xenon 5600 being touted, chances are that we might not see the Core i7 being offered.
