While there’s no official indication whether the next iPhone would be called the iPhone HD or iPhone 4, we are really looking forward to seeing it support HD video recording, and we might actually be granted our wish. A few lines of cipher in the latest iPhone SDK have hinted that 720p video recording might be on the cards. Of course, just considering there are hints of it in the cipher doesn’t mean that the next iPhone will offer it, but there seems to be a higher possibility now. The cipher we’ve mentioned is listed as:

This might not be the issue for all users out there, as not everybody uses a 32GB microSD card, possibly due to price. But whether you’ve recently tried formatting a 32GB microSD card on Google’s Nexus One, or another Android phone, chances are that you weren’t able to do so. The issue has been raised before, and Google has confirmed the issue, saying that it has been fixed, and will be part of the next over-the-air (OTA) update, though there wasn’t a specific date given as to when the update will be offered. Google still lists the Nexus One as being able to support microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity on its specifications page. whether you’re currently experiencing that issue and can’t wait for the update, a simple workaround would be to plug the card into a computer that has a memory card slot and format it on the computer instead.

US Airways will be offering in-flight World Wide Web to their passengers thanks to the efforts of Gogo, although that will be limited to just five Airbus A321s at point of publishing. To offer a teaser, US Airways will supply passengers with a solitary free session until June 1st, and that even assuming you are a first-time Gogo user. When June rolls around, that would see all 51 Airbus A321s being Wi-Fi-capable, where you can check whether your flight offers such a service when booking it. US Airways still hold their cards close to their chest without revealing further expansion plans beyond June, but that is another piece of news for a different day, no? In the meantime, check out their pricing table above once the calendar touches June 2nd. [Press Release]

Guess tertiary education has gotten too expensive for some, which could be the reason why students studying pervasive computing and user interface engineering at the University Duisburg-Essen came up with the ‘Poker Surface’ as a way to hone their poker skills to win some money. We jest – that brilliant invention will merge the functionality of cellphones and a multi-touch surface, letting one play poker by directly interacting with objects on the table and by using a cellphone. The cellphone itself offers a tangible feeling of holding cards in your hands as well – best to get an anti-reflective display and privacy filter for your handset, and wearing contact lenses would bode your quest well, too.

Asus’ latest P7F7-E WS SuperComputer motherboard ought to get all of you geeks out there salivating – after all, it does maximize transmission speeds by integrating the industry’s latest I/O technologies including USB 3.0, SATA 6G storage interface and the IEEE 1394b FireWire standard. Apart from that, you will plus benefit from the LGA1156 socket and the latest Intel 3450 chipset with onboard graphics. Folks who love gaming can pick up a quartet of ATI CrossFireX cards or 3-way/2-way Nvidia SLI cards to go along with that aptly-named SuperComputer motherboard, not to mention its ability to leverage Nvidia Cuda parallel computing architecture to support up to four Nvidia Tesla cards with Clarkdale Processors.
Palm has just a few more days to prepare good on their promise of webOS 1.4 to roll out before the month is by, and an insider from Verizon has let out that February 25th is the long-awaited term, where the update will roll out to approximately 100,000 devices simultaneously. Similar to updates in the past, that one is free to download and install, but we would highly recommend you produce a backup of all your vital info beforehand. Among the features expected to accompany webOS 1.4 are video recording, compatibility with Flash 10.1, minor speed improvements and a different way to launch new cards. What’s a few more days of waiting after so expanded, eh?
