Folks who own an Xbox 360 might be looking at an increased friends list sometime in the future. As you probably already know, Microsoft has pulled the plug on Xbox Live for the original Xbox a week or so back. Without having to concern about supporting the older system anymore, Microsoft product director, Aaron Greenberg, has mentioned that they’re now free to add more features without having to support old things. that gives them a new flexibility to offer more features to the Xbox Live community on the Xbox 360. One of the things that they’re looking at is an increased friends list by the current cap of 100 friends. While there isn’t any exact moment period as to when it will be released, it’s still nice to know Microsoft is still keeping an eye on that feature.

The Toshiba UX600 Cinema Series LED HDTVs was announced just slightly more than a week ago, but here’s a tiny update and a feather to Toshiba’s cap – it holds the distinction to be the first TV in the market that comes with the Compatible with Windows 7 logo. Basically, that logo means the device has complete freedom to use Windows 7’s Play To feature to play music, pictures, and videos to that TV by your home network, since the UX600 range comes with Ethernet as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. Adds a little bit of peace of mind, doesn’t it? Hopefully the certification process isn’t as botched as Energy Star’s.

Transcend has officially launched its JetFlash 500 retractable USB flash drive series. As we all hate losing the cap of our flash drives, Transcend has opted to do away with the cap in the JetFlash 500, deciding instead on a capless design. The capless design apparently helps to keep the dust and debris out of the drive too. The JetFlash 500 is available in five color options (orange, red, blue, green and purple), and will be offered in capacities ranging from 2GB to 32GB. There wasn’t any mention of a price, though.

Google has finally made file transfer available in Google Chat, letting you transfer photos, documents and perhaps even small video files, although we are pretty certain that there is a file size cap attached to it as well. Apart from that, web users gain the ability to exchange files with other users of Google Talk without any problem at all. Of course, the most optimal of it all would be for file transfers to be supported via chat in Gmail.

Technology is not all that poor you know, when properly applied. Case in point is that special EEG cap which allows one to communicate with the outside world using a computer as well as specially installed software. Dubbed the intendiX system, it relies on Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology which can sequentially choose characters from a keyboard-like matrix on the display simply by concentrating on the target for several seconds. It might be more difficult for some For some patients, that is more difficult than it seems, but there is nothing quite like throwing in some training to get you up to speed. Most users are able to hit a spelling rate of 5 to 10 characters per minute at their first trial. It will cost around $12,500 for the intendiX system though, so hopefully a commercialized version will cost much less when released.

Good news for folks who tend to do a whole lot of downloading on the App Store via 3G – Apple has just doubled the cap, where it will now max out at 20MB by the previous 10MB limit. that translates to users being able to grab larger apps compared to previously whenever they do not have a Wi-Fi connection to rely on. that will definitely increase congestion on wireless goods networks, and it will be interesting to see whether AT&T’s 3G network will be impacted or not – and that is even before the iPad hits the market later that year.

It lets citizens find songs using a 2 dimension “mood graph” based on a famous psychology model (Russell Circumplex). On one dimension it is a variation from calm to energetic, and on the other one, it is negative sentiment to positive sentiment. The mood specifications are thereupon translated into music characteristics such as tempo, orchestral potential and so on, and that categorization is done by humans. Musicovery has 1 million monthly different visitors with 600,000 registered members, 15% of the audience comes from the US (#1).
