This probably isn’t the prettiest “portable” console mod we’ve seen, but it’s not every day that you see someone mod the defunct Sega Saturn console into a portable device. The person who came up with this mod managed to cram in a 7-inch display into the unit, as well as a nine volt battery at the back. You’ll certainly have more fun toting your Nintendo DS around with you, but you plus have to give that portable console brownie points for uniqueness, right?

Cloned handsets these days seem to get better and better, and the HTC Diamond2 clone that you see here certainly wins brownie points with us simply considering it is able to dual boot both the Android and Windows Mobile 6.5 operating systems. Granted, the 600MHz processor might not seem to pack abundant muscle, but it still comes with a WQVGA display that ought to please some quarters. No concept on whether that cloned handset is able to construct phone calls on both operating systems, so we will just have to wait until the real deal comes out before arriving at a conclusion.

Teclast has rolled out its K3 ebook reader that comes with a standard 6″ E-Ink display. Hmm, is the ebook reader market on its way to being another netbook mania, where virtually everyone shares the same specifications? Well, the K3 comes with Text-to-Speech functionality which might win some brownie points for those who assemble use of such functionality, although those of us who have experienced voice synthesizing would have come to realize that it grates on your ears after a few paragraphs, and you would much rather prefer to read the text yourself. As with any other decent ebook reader out there in the market, the Teclast K3 does MP3 and MP4 playback as well. There is no view on pricing, but we do hope it comes with a decent library on the back end of things.

Getting your partner to massage your head for you is probably old fashioned.
If there were about 1 million angry gamers who might want to sue you, most folks would be running and screaming for their mommy, but not Microsoft. Despite the possibility of facing a class-action lawsuit, a Redmond spokesperson has stressed that Microsoft is well within its legal rights to ban users from the Xbox Live as modifying an Xbox 360 is apparently a violation of the Xbox Live Terms of Use. Regardless of whether it’s legally right or wrong, Microsoft isn’t scoring any brownie points with gamers at the moment. Check out the details of the lawsuit here.
