You might remember the Great lengthy Brother for its rather interesting name, or the fact that it tried to sue Apple by the iPad’s design. Now it seems that the relationship amidst the two companies aren’t going to get any better as the Chinese manufacturer has given its P88, the device in the center of the storm, a UI makeover. A quick glance in the P88’s direction will give you the impression that it’s running OS X, though in reality it’s still powered by Microsoft’s Windows 7, albeit skinned very well to look like OS X. Brother SV-70 document viewer
January 29, 2010

Most new products released are often better versions of their predecessors, but Brother of Japan takes the road less traveled with the SV-70 document viewer which is a lesser version of the SV-100B. It shares most of the same features as its technologically superior sibling save for Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connectivity and carrying half the onboard memory, which means it can only store 500 pages instead of the usual 1,000. Pricing details have yet to be released, but it will roll out that February 20th in Japan.

Amazon Kindle DX To Go International
January 6, 2010

Amazon’s popular Kindle has already gone International, and now it seems that the Kindle DX will be following in its older brother’s footsteps, and will be available internationally. The worldly edition of its 9.7-inch Kindle DX will start shipping on January 19th and will cost $490, which certainly isn’t cheap. One of the downsides of the worldly version is the smaller catalog than is available in the US, and the lack of web access through the browser. Hopefully Amazon will additionally be shipping the unit with potential plugs for the unmistaken country, unlike the US capability plugs that were standard in the original universal Kindle. Are you already planning how to save up to buy that?

GenevaSound iPod Dock
December 18, 2009

Somehow there’s always something funny (yet cute) about having an iPod nano docked to a big speaker, and that’s probably the allure of the GenevaSound iPod dock (aside from its sound quality, of course). Of course, smaller in that case additionally means, cheaper, so you’ll only have to shell out $300 for it instead of $1450 for its bigger brother.

USB Alien Sticks Its Tongue At You
November 20, 2009

You see an awesome looking Alien figurine, and even better, it has a USB cable attached to it, which can only mean that it’s a USB storage drive, or a USB hub, right? Apparently not. While an Alien figurine is certainly awesome, all that little Alien does is stick its illuminated tongue out at you. It might scare your 5 year old younger brother, but that’ll probably be about it.
