Folks at the FCC have taken a look at the Taiwanese-made Android smartphone from Commtiva, where it is additionally known as the F800 Blaze. The device seems to come with branding from Cincinnati Bell, which is a regional carrier in the US that operates in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. The F800 Blaze is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, and handles GSM/EDGE bands 850, 900, 1800 and 1900, as well as WCDMA bands I and IV. No notion on when the Blaze will hit the market, and neither do we have whiff of whether it will reach on other carriers apart from Cincinnati Bell Stateside.

Looks like the recent iPhone 4G prototype fiasco showed that even girls have a lower chance of getting picked up at a bar by a true blue geek when they face such stiff competition from Apple. poor jokes aside, we have word of another Apple leak, that duration round involving an iPod touch with a built-in camera being made available on eBay for all but the briefest of moments, before it was naturally pulled down. The two devices featured iPod branding on the back, alongside prototype identification codes “DVT-1″ and “DVT-2″ (“DVT” stands for “design verification test”), while the DVT-2 model seems to come with an additional bar cipher label that was apparently stamped by the “Apple Development Team.” What do you think of that leak?

What do you get when you marry an iPhone with your standard flip-phone? We’re not precisely certain, but you can bet that it’ll look something similar to the N933 smartphone pictured here. There isn’t any noticeable branding on the phone, but one look at it when the flip is open and you’ll notice that it has copied the user interface from Apple’s iPhone; when the flip is down, it’ll look very much like the budget phones that are on the market. In terms of features, the N933 plus joins the ranks of budget phones, with nothing too hot. It’s currently going for $129.99, and for that price you’ll get a phone that sports:

Think that there’s too much iPhone stuff in the world? Well, it looks like you’re going to get another dose of Apple’s App Store. Social branding firm Vitrue has launched an official Facebook application for Apple’s App Store. From the page, you’ll be able to browse the catalog directly from Facebook, and share recommendations with friends. Considering the amount of popularity that Apple’s App Store already has, whether you pair it with the potential of social networking, it’s probably going to have the competition shuddering in fear.

HP’s latest effort in the world of mobile computing has resulted in the new Airlife 100 that is powered by Google’s Android operating system, where it has a Snapdragon processor (this is yet to be confirmed) running underneath the hood, alongside a 16GB SSD, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as a 10.1″ touchscreen display. Apparently, the Airlife 100 comes with a 12-hour battery life which can last for up to 10 days in standby date. HP will offer that with Telefonica as it hits markets in Europe and Latin America under mobile broadband service plans. Do you think it might fall under the HP Mini branding when it hits Stateside?

With all the focus and attention that Google’s Nexus One phone has been getting, it really is surprising to see that all the domains such as nexusone.com, nexusone.co.uk, and others all didn’t redirect to anything remotely resembling to Google’s Nexus One phone. Of course, it seems that nexusone.com was owned by someone in Portland since 1998, so you can’t really blame Google for that, but it does seem to put a bit of a dent in Google’s branding of the Nexus One, don’t you think? Are you going to check out the various variations of the Nexus One domain name after reading that?

Do you think that anybody might have been using the word “Bing” in its name before Microsoft used it for its Bing search engine? whether you did, you’re right, as a small graphic design firm has been using “Bing!” for its branding since early 2000 (according to the company’s claims). The company, Bing! data Design, has filed a case in St. Louis circuit court. The weird part is that the company waited until May 26th 2009 to attempt to register the trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office, which was next rejected considering Microsoft had already applied for the trademark “Bing”, and the case reviewer judged that the additional punctuation was an insignificant difference to Microsoft’s trademark application. What do you think about the Bing branding? Should Microsoft of the graphic design firm be able to use it?

BlackBerry users who are on Sprint’s network will certainly be happy to see that a BlackBerry 9650 Essex / Tour 2 has been spotted with the Sprint logo on its OS branding, though there didn’t seem to be any Sprint branding on the hardware itself. While there isn’t any official word as to when that phone will be released on Sprint, when you start to see these leaked pictures showing up online, you probably won’t have to wait too towering for an official word on it. Are you looking forward to that device?

Well, it seems that some folks think that adding Hello Kitty branding to any item is a certain way to create and winner, and that’s probably what happened to the Casio EX-Z90. The camera now comes in bright pink, and has a matching Hello Kitty branded case and strap. Pink Swarovski diamonds circle the outer lens, and there is plus a rather noticeable “Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary” label on the front. It’s up for preorder for $499. It’s amazing what a little pink cat can do to the price of a $128-150 camera.
