Mobile Spy’s iPad Spy is a new application for iPad owners, although it will require you to jailbreak your device beforehand. What it does would be to keep track of what the iPad has been used for all through the day without other users being none the wiser. It will upload input quietly in the background to a private detail for the installer to look through at one’s own leisure. While Mobile Spy asserts that that kind of Big Brother software is meant to keep tabs on kids and employees, we guess most folks who get it would be to stalk someone whom they suspect of cheating on them, or perhaps want to know more knowledge about the iPad user.

A bus station is supposed to help shield you away from the elements, and that includes the sun and the rain (and hail whether you get it where you’re staying). More often than not, it will be hot and sunny outside, making it the ideal place to harness the capability of the sun through the creative use of solar panels on the roof. Enter LG’s eco-friendly Solar Bus data Station that will harvest electricity thanks to a solar module on top of the bus station. Hopefully it will be augmented with a solar-powered video camera for Big Brother to keep track of what’s happening around the city, eh?

Bipper Communication AS and Motorola are rolling out a mobile child safety service via its iSIM application platform. Motorola’s iSIM allows the delivery of applications, services and enhanced capabilities via a flexible wafer that is attached to the subscriber’s original SIM. With that latest service from Bipper, parents will be able to manage their children’s approved numbers list from the Bipper website, monitor the usage of the phone, including who they’re communicating with, and all sorts of other info. While it certainly gives you the view of Big Brother, they apparently have the child’s safety in mind, and it additionally offers a safety alarm, as well as a location based service.

Ever being slapped with an insanely high input roaming bill simply considering you forgot to turn off the option to access details when you were abroad? Such expensive mistakes could be a thing of the past whether the European Union has their way, with a bunch of regulators stepping in to impose new restrictions that will help users cap their monthly wireless documents bills. From July 1, 2010 onwards, mobile broadband users in Europe are forced to choose a maximum monthly cost they want to pay for mobile documents. Whenever they reach near to 80% of that total, one will receive a warning from the carrier followed by a temporary suspension when the spending cap is reached. whether you decide to bury your head in the sand and do nothing about it, thereupon you will automatically be given a $68 monthly limit (for input only). So much for being responsible adults, eh? We still need Big Brother to prevent us from going overboard in our spending.

Big brother always leads the way, right? whether that’s the case, it is no surprise to see the Nokia N97 Mini additionally receive a firmware update just like the N97 earlier yesterday. Version 11.0.045 is available as a 160MB download, where the software supposedly frees up more RAM (around 6MB) after boot up, improvement in signal quality, a better browsing experience (relative to the rest of the Nokia world of course), better audio playback and improved image and video stability. Strangely suitable, the free version of Ovi Maps 3.3 isn’t included, but that is easily remedied by the easy add-on from ‘Software update’ on the device. Have you updated your N97 Mini yet?

Intel wants to have chips (theirs, obviously) inside our brains in the future so that there is no need for a mouse or keyboard to take charge of our computers. Dean Pomerleau is the brains behind that vision, where he works for Intel on matters of cognitive neuroscience, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, man-machine interfaces, brain processing of semantic info, and various brain-scanning technologies including fMRI, MEG, EEG and ECoG. We don’t think something like that will ever take off – it would certainly leave the thought of Big Brother knowing our every move and thoughts.
