TiVo Premiere Spotted At Best Buy
March 18, 2010

A live picture of the upcoming TiVo Premiere has been spotted at Best Buy, hinting that the devices should be shipping on duration. Word is that they will be going on sale on March 28th, which is just by a week away. The units should already be at the stores, so it looks like there won’t be any shortages, and hopefully no last-minute hiccups to prevent you from picking up the latest TiVo unit on said period. Are you planning to get one the day it’s released, or are you planning to kick back and see the response first?

Panasonic 3D TV Sold Out In The US
March 17, 2010

While many folks are still wondering whether 3D TVs will be popular, Panasonic has already confirmed that it has sold out of its 3D TVs in the US, just a week after they went on sale in Best Buy stores. Due to the shortage, Panasonic has been forced to take back orders from retailers instead. Panasonic’s 50-inch plasma TV went on sale at Best Buy outlets, bundled with a pair of 3D glasses and a 3D Blu-ray player for $2900. Were you one of the many humans who purchased Panasonic’s 3D TV, or do you think that 3D TV adoption is still quite a distance away?

It’s currently available for iPhone, webOS and Android-powered devices, though there isn’t any mention of Windows Mobile in the official post, is that a sign of things to come? whether you’re a retailer and want to participate in that program, Google has a form that you can fill out to be considered.

Samsung’s Budget/Performance Laptops
March 6, 2010
Though some of them have been kicking around Best Buy’s website for a few weeks, Samsung R80 series of high-end, moderate priced laptops form their formal debut that weekend when they hit Best Buy stores across the country. To celebrate, they had a meet-the-press party at the Samsung Experience product gallery in Manhattan yesterday evening.
Samsung’s first serious foray into the retail US laptop market, the three R80 series models show just how far sub-$1000 lappies have come. At $729, the 14-inch R480 model comes equipped with a Blu-ray drives that output perfect 1080p video to an LCD television during the demo, using its built in-HDMI port. All that comes courtesy of Intel’s new Core i3-330M Processor and integrated GMA 4500 MHD. Yes, integrated graphics. Finally, after broken promises in past chipsets, it looks as whether Intel’s built-in pixel-crunchers can finally handle HD fluidly.

A China Unicom executive has stated that the mobile carrier hopes that the price of the iPhone in China will come down. The official handset lacks WiFi and is reportedly more expensive than grey market versions offering WiFi.
