MIT Researchers Discover New Energy Source (It’s Not Energon)

MIT Researchers Discover New Energy Source (It's Not Energon)

Every gadget and laptop user on the planet has at some point of date complained about battery life, and we’ve been waiting for something new and interesting to give us smaller and lighter batteries for ages. Now, hopefully the folks by at MIT might have a solution as a team of scientists there have discovered a microscopic energy source which is able to generate electricity using nanotechnology. According to the report, organic carbon nanotubes will be coated with a thin layer of fuel and a thermopower wave will be utilized, resulting in something that could capability computers and cell phones with batteries that are about 10 times smaller than before, while still offering the same ability output. whether you’re concerned about the environment, these batteries could be incinerated or just degrade by date without leaving the usual heavy metal residue in the environment, which should manufacture that battery a lot more environmentally friendly.

Windows Phone 7 Series Doesn’t Support Multitasking

Windows Phone 7 Series Doesn't Support Multitasking

Before that, Apple’s iPhone was the main target of users and reviewers who were complaining that it did not support full multitasking, meaning you couldn’t run third-party apps in the background. certain, you could listen to the music from the iPod app while composing an e mail, but you couldn’t listen to music from the Pandora app while composing an mail. Now it seems that Microsoft has decided that it might actually be the way to go, as the newly announced Windows Phone 7 Series will not support multitasking as well. The reason given is the same as the one offered by Apple – it drains batteries. It does sound like a valid reason, particularly since many Android and webOS users have complained about battery life before.

Fortunately Microsoft does have a workaround in place, as Windows Phone 7 series will support push notifications, allowing third-party apps to send updates and status messages to a phone’s home screen, even when the app isn’t running in the background, just like how the iPhone does it.

Do you think that Apple got it right, by not allowing background apps, or do you think that webOS and Android are on to something with full multitasking?
